don't think he's lost it, just to get the best out of him only give him the first 60-70 mins in a match not 90 mins every game or near enough, he is too old for that ****e.

our problem is we have no one good enough to bring on in his place, and Lucas has gone seriously down hill.

The lad has come on leaps and bounds and I'd guess he has won you quite a few points this year. This needs to be balanced against the odd mistake like last night but overall he is part of the reason you are where you are.
Go easy on him is what I'd say as an neutral looking in.
I never rated him when you signed him but Rogers has worked wonders and he's now a top, top player.

The thing about Rodgers, though, is that by and large, he learns from his mistakes.

To me, Henderson is our most important midfield player and I still maintain from earlier in the season that Gerrard has had a good season because of Hendo. Gerrard will thrive with Hendo in the team because of the shift he puts in. But more than just a workhorse, he does have moments of brilliant passing or play-making, which are yet to be fully realised. Look at the Tottenham game at WHL when he was totally unrestricted with Gerrard out, he ran the show.

Unfortunately I don't think Allen or (as much as I like him) Lucas are quite good enough to give us the extra push to win titles. Midfield needs to be strengthened just as much as defense at the seasons end. A replacement for Gerrard also needs to be found ASAP and to be bled in the coming season.

I agree completely with you on that Tobes!

I think Rodgers has been brilliant for us all season- but the Moses substitution was a total tactical blunder. It was absolutely what we didn't need.

Relieved pressure on Palace defense and at the same time didn't provide us with any extra possession nor did it improve our defense.

I am strangely more confident having drawn that game, rather than winning by 1 (a 9-0 would have been great but even then i think city would have upped their game and smashed villa and west ham) as i have thought all along that west ham might nick a win at city on the final day. If villa draw with city, city will win title on goal difference, as they will then smash west ham, strangely i think we need villa to either win or lose, if they draw city will be right on it come west ham, however if the win - they may just play into west hams hands. Our other hope is that villa win - i even typed that with a smile.
Tbf i am never right about these things although i did call Henderson being a massive loss and I believe he has been, he has a great deal of passion and creates space for our front men just by running around :)

Thin margins - had moses scored and tbf he should have done, BR becomes tactical genius

BR is responsible for both the Chelsea result and the Palace one.

Against Chelsea we did not need to be so gungho we only needed a draw and should have been more patient. Against Palace we should have shut up shop and hit them on the break when it was 3 - 0, the win was more important as we were never going to catch City on GD.

we did nothing wrong against Chelsea

Moses for Sturridge was the 'right' sub at the time - he tracked back and shut down a counter down our right shortly after coming on

Rodgers not screaming at our centremids to get back and help out the defence was a mistake
