3-0 to 3-3 in the last ten minutes, I'd turned over to watch the snooker when it went 3-0! - I thought I could hear something in the background tonight...

Shame. It would have been a fairy tale if Liverpool had won the league. I hate teams that try to buy success<whistle>

It would have been a fairy tale if Everton had won it, i don't really buy in to the plucky, small, underdog club Liverpool. They must still have the third or fourth most expensive XI in the league.

Probably still on less than our squad though :)

Dunno about the rest of you, but I'm still hurting after 75/76 - well done Palace!

I'm pleased Man City have won it after the greatest Premier League game of all-time. Even more please Chelsea didn't win it and won nothing.

Quite incredible stuff - I watched the 2nd half and when Liverpool went 3-0 up early it looked like it could end up 6-0 given the chances they were having. Brendan Rogers really should have closed up shop with 10 mins to play, rather than going for more goals, although I realize GD was likely on his mind.

Also it was a former R, the discarded Damien Delaney, that made the break in getting Palace back in the game. Very well taken goals by Dwight Gayle, and he could have had a hat-trick despite his short time on the field - was always surprised he only seemed to be used as a late sub during the season.

It was hilarious seeing the gutless Johnson turn away from the ball, ice hockey placers block pucks with their faces and he wont even take a light weight football to the mid rift and costs his team a chance at the title.

Also, Terry and suarez in tears on the same weekend, not a good couple of days for racists!

    Another good comment:-

    silvios says 05/05/14 10:59pm

"When they were 3 up Liverpool players must have thought that they could improve further their goal difference and continued to attack, leaving the back door open. The first Crystal Palace goal must have been a great psychological blow and hence came the other two. Having said that I must give credit to Palace for their incredible come back. Pulis deserves to manage one of the top premier league. I am sure that if he managed United he would have done a much better job than Moyes did."

Unbelievable, I turned the tv off and went to bed at 0-3, just before the comeback started. That was the most unexpected finish to a game since the last time Man City won the league:grin:

Funny scene at the end as Suarez sat in tears with his shirt over his head, having missed a couple of chances he would normally take during the game, as Gerrard tried to shoo away the TV camera focussed on Suarez, as if he was the victim of a terrible tragedy or (more likely) he was trying to protect the identity of an arrested suspect. He clearly doesn't realise that this is part of the entertainment, and millions of people will enjoy the sight of this sublimely talented but odious man weeping uncontrollably. Him, Gerrard, Terry - cry babies who can't take not winning a game......

Imagine the tears that will flow on Merseyside should Citeh contrive to draw one of their remaining games and the Scousers realise that they threw away the title in the space of 12 minutes at Selhurst Park.........

I have been heartened by the fact that this weekend there have been several matches across the divisions where one team is playing for everything and the other's season was over ages ago, yet the team with nothing to play for got stuck in and gave a very good account of themselves.

Too often in the past teams with nothing to play for haven't bothered that much. Just hope West Ham have the same attitude when playing City.

No but its insane, I bet you everyone of their fans would have taken that ball to the gut or face if it meant an extra two points that night.

Id line up any player who turns away from a shot and let every single player blast a shot at them. I saw another player to it in a wall this week, its completely gutless.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Paulinho left red-faced in Spurs wall after failing to stop Stewart Downing's free-kick during West Ham defeat

Emmanuel Adebayor and Paulinho were left red-faced on Saturday afternoon after failing to stop a Stewart Downing free-kick during Tottenham's 2-0 defeat against West Ham.

Spurs found themselves with 10 men and a goal behind against the Hammers after a difficult first half became even worse when Adebayor and Paulinho turned away from Downing's free-kick, allowing the strike to get past the wall.

The 30-year-old striker even had the cheek to look to team-mate Paulinho, seemingly blaming the Brazilian for being just as scared of the ball as he was.

Really happy Liverpool have (seemingly) blown their chances. That game reminded me of when we scored 3 2nd half goals against them to beat them 3-2 which helped us stay up. All we need now is THE R's to win the playoffs and Republic of Ireland to win the world cup.

    Oh wait...

It was pretty much a perfect weekend except for the scum youth team winning the cup but it was an excellent final, 2-3 and 5-3 against Fulham. They will soon have that attacking falir coached out of them my moanrinho.

It also shows what we are up against in trying to attract young players,

It's odd for Bindippers to bottle it now. They only had one competition and even that was too hard for them. So next year with Champions League we can expect them 6 or 7th ?
