I would have picked Toure for his wider team contribution personally.
He has scored more than most strikers too which for a midfielder is not to be sniffed at.
Suarez has though, been head and shoulders the best striker in the prem this year.

Luis Suarez: Liverpool striker is football writers' Player of the Year

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been named Player of the Year by the Football Writers' Association.
The Uruguayan, 27, has scored 30 Premier League goals for a team chasing their first title since 1990.
Suarez took 52% of the vote, with team-mate Steven Gerrard second and Manchester City's Yaya Toure in third.
"Tireless endeavour allied to extraordinary imagination makes an irresistible combination," FWA chairman Andy Dunn said.
"Add ingenious, impudent finishing and you have a footballer who truly quickens the pulse."
Suarez, also named Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers' Association, will receive his award at a dinner in London on May 15.
More than 300 journalists cast votes for 10 different players for the prestigious award which has been running since 1948.

Suarez fairly comfortably for me. He has been ridiculous. Toure and Gerrard would have been the others filling the top 3 for me followed by Silva. Ramsey could have been a threat but for injury and Hazard was brilliant first half of the season. Cabaye might have had a look in the way he was going. I think Matic will be the one to look out for next year.

Toure is the better team player in my opinion, but Suarez has had a hell of a season, scoring goals for fun.

I hope he's out when we play them.
