Rodgers brought him in on a free transfer ( seems a Swansea Way ) and he did a pretty nice job for us over all . I realize he's not a Van De Saar but he can play in a pinch and instill confidence .He held the saves made per goal conceded record in the 2012 - 2013 Premier season . He also had the best save percentage of all Premier League keepers in the 2012 -2013 season . When Vorm went down injured at the end of Oct 2012 , Gerhard went on a 7 game unbeaten run including away wins against Liverpool ( League Cup ) ,Newcastle and Arsenal in the Premier along with a clean sheet against Chelsea. It caused Laudrup to say " Gerhard has done well and it is very important to know you have a goalkeeper of quality when things happen ".For Laudrup to say that about a keeper he didn 't bring in says a lot. A very good and expierenced keeper that we were lucky to have around in tough times<applause>

GT would be my preference over Vorm

I don't know why he gets so much stick when, even on and off day, he makes an effort to gat to the ball.

Vorm really annoys me; good short range shot stopper and good distribution but no command of his area, no physical presence, little positional sense.

You are all insane. Swansea are lucky to have Vorm good age experienced and he does have good reflexes and decent distribution. All rounded good keeper for Swansea you can not ask for more.

I think Vorm is awesome , my #1 when healthy , love him . But when your # 1 goes down, at this level , you better have someone ready to step in ..... and we do imo

I am sorry Tremmel isnt bad cover. But watched him have quite a few shockers this year and isnt near Vorms ability. It got to the stage where i was thinking all a team would have to do was hit the target and they would score.

We all have opinions, thats what this is all about . Tremmel is a very good # 2 , especially on the free and a good attitude . Cheers

Tremmel is a good No. 2 but this season the gap between him and Vorm has shortened, not because Tremmel has improved but because Vorm has been below his usual high standards. It looks like our Dutch keeper is a little short of confidence making him that split second slower to make his decisions.

Yes its not been exactly vorms best season and he has cost us a few games, would have liked a more share of games between the both to be honest. they both have better strengths than one another and we should have used that depending who we are playing...

True but so has Vorm. Saturday took the biscuit for me especially as it was so like the one of the goals they scored at St Mary's.

Vorm is quality and I do agree that he hasnt had his best season. But, he is on a different level to Tremmel. If Vorm isnt able to get back to where he was early last season would be disappointed if we signed a new first choice keeper. But, tremmel is not good enough to fill that space.

Tremmel has been really good for us, superb if you think he came for free. Vorm is rightly no1 for me though, has great distribution, really good with his feet sweeping up. I'm sure he will be back to his best fully fit next year (if we manage to keep him).

If Vorm left I'd be disappointed , next season will be a good season for him because he will be hungry for a full season . If he left I'd want to sign a new # 1 . But regarless of Vorm or a replacement in goal , we got a great back up . If Vorm is allowed to be better next season , maybe Tremmel might be better too lefty .
