Been thinking about becoming a football manager , looks easy enough . Kinda like a weatherman , you dont have to be right , you just have to do it.Could do all the roofing around the grounds in my down time , for a very reasonable price if that helps my chances.Very good organizer , get along with everyone ( cough ) , I can learn people very well.

Although I've said Fulham would stay up they've only got themselves to blame. Looks like Sunderland will do it now, particularly with our lot already on the beach. <doh>

I've been a nurse for 12 years. Just got a promotion to what most people would call a 'Junior Charge Nurse'.

Loving the thread way more than I thought I would.

A lot more money I bet shaper and well worth the wait . Anyone in the medical care business should get medals imo .... my wife is a dietary / supplies aide , making her do more work , I bet that you ve seen the same pressure on medical workers to do more for less money

My wife's a Staff Nurse in Southampton General ITU, she was at Morriston ITU and Nuro ITU. The stories she comes home with and what they do to nurse people on deaths door back to full health. Pisses me off when the government does not reward them with the pay they all deserve.

Plus they never throw their toys out of the pram and go on strike like some professions.

7 years at the steel works in Port Talbot (did a 4 year apprenticeship) then chucked it all in did a Computer Science degree then moved to London and worked for a IT company and stayed for 20 years doing various roles. Moved to another IT company based in Hemel Hempstead doing Account Management and have been with them for 12 years.

Time to think about taking it easy soon I hope!

I've got every reason to be thankful to medical staff of all kinds. Mind you, I'm presently suing one Hospital Trust for professional negligence. That said, dedicated health care professionals deserve every penny they get and a lot more in fact for what they do for us all.

<laugh>....Got an an apprenticeship going for an old git like me? I'm a very fast learner!......................<laugh>

Been in the Financial services most of my life, firstly for a national company based in London, then went self employed as an IFA back in 1989, spent most of my time on commercial funding for Hotels pubs and clubs, and residential homes etc. Got out of the industry when the bubble burst in mid 90's, and went into IT for a few years........................<ok>

Well off to put down some laminate flooring this morning with my new partner , putting some windows in later in the week, both for the first time . The feeling I have this morning ensures I did the right thing passing my notice in after 13 years at my past job. Roofing all next week with him , which I will always do, but doing something else makes me feel awesome . Cheers
