http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/03/sunderland-face-legal-fight-points-deduction Pathetic from Fulham, Cardiff and Norwich... They can only deduct 1 point from us and we'll stay up by more than 1 point anyway Stupid ****s
I agree, very poor, and not the way I would want us to stay up, saddens me that the Club are going to try and pursue this.
It's all very silly to me, they must be seeking to get us deducted more than one point, otherwise our position is still strong
Baring in mind this information has been out for ages now Nee ****er gave a toss when we were bottom and looking like we were down, now suddenly everyone is righteous
All we have to do is refer to the Tevez situation when he kept West Ham up to the cost of Sheff Utd. Past precedent x
Absolutely! The league ain't gonna backtrack on their decision made months ago! A very small straw being snatched at by 3 desperate clubs.
I am the only one a tiny bit concerned by this? Although, if we're safe by 6 to 9 points then they can take 1 - 3 from us and it won't mean ****. I didn't see West Ham getting docked any points though.
Why can`t the FA simply issue a statement. 1) Ji was a registered Sunderland player. 2) There was a minor error in the paperwork on his return from loan. 3) The club informed the FA. 4) The club was punished by fine. 5) The fine has been paid. 6) The matter is closed. How difficult is that?
When it came out no issues were raised by any club and the matter was closed. Everyone was satisfied with the punishment Now that we've pulled ourselves out they're interested, that's pretty pathetic imo
The case is closed, I'd be very surprised if we were further punished. If we were they could only deduct 1 point, the simple solution to that is to win our two remaining games so we'll stay up by more than 1 point
yes if they deducted 1 point and we still stayed up would there be legal action to take more points off until it meets the agenda, what a load of tosh the premier league has a rule that they can decide not to issue a points deduction if they deem the "offence" not to be significant - journo crap I think
From what I read earlier this week, the fault was as much the league's as the club's, which is why the repercussions were minimal. This is going nowhere.
