So if half of them don't get contracts that would leave us with a squad of 9. Might be easier to recruit if there is some financial backing. I guess we won't hear any more until it's 100% definite what league we are in.

Morning all .We need a complete revamp in the squad. The way the players have performed this season or rather not performed even me and Ron would make our squad stronger.....now where's my boots gone I will have to dig them out of the cupboard.

    My assessment:Goalkeepers
Matt Ingram - destined for greater things - possibly Prem
    Charlie Horlock -

    Defenders
Marvin McCoy - Conference or worse - 4 years ago had so much potential. Has gone backwards and looks poor.
Charles Dunne - Irrelevant as not our player any more!
Anthony Stewart - L1 - Such a solid player and I think will get better with age. Could be championship if he continues to progress. Agent has told him not to sign for us again in the future.
Leon Johnson - L2 - Getting on a bit but still solid.
Nick Arnold - Hopefully going back to Reading.
Gary Doherty - L2/Conference- Will be released as he will be a higher earner but legs have gone.

    Midfielders
Josh Scowen - L2 - There is potential there and I think he will go in the summer as other clubs came in for him a few weeks back.
Stuart Lewis - Conference - Try hard but no quality whatsoever. Gives away foul after foul.
Matt Spring - Who knows?! Never gets played. Will be released as a higher earner.
Matt Bloomfield - L2 - Solid and dependable
Sam Wood - L2 if played on the wing. Poor full back but not his fault he has been played there.
Jesse Kewley-Graham - Conference south - should release
Max Kretzschmar - L1/L2 - Our only creative midfielder and the only one who can make a pass.

    Strikers (apparently)
Dean Morgan - Depends what mood he is in. L1 or sunday league and nothing in between - I think he will be released.
Paris Cowan-Hall - Conference- Injury prone, quick, poor on the ball
    Anthony Jeffrey - Conference south
Jon-Paul Pittman - Injured - waste of time
    Junior Morias - Conference south
Jo Kuffour - High Wycombe Sunday Combination Division 4 - The "Ghost." Just doesn't do anything.
Steven Craig -Scottish League 1 - Injury/illness prone - Think he will be released.
    Reece Styche -Conference -
Matt McClure - L1 if he stays fit and has a regular strike partner.

I personally think the forwards have taken a lot of stick this season, when they have had absolutely no creativity behind them. This has been compounded by the fact that Ainsworth has never let two play together for more than a couple of games. That said it is not a strong forward line.

I personally think this is a poor squad put together by a poor manager, admittedly with little in the way of finances.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the coming weeks in terms of managers/players/investment (if the latter is still on the horizon).
