You do realise that what you think and feel makes diddley-squat to whether Rickie scores or not. Just as with MLT, the chances are he will score. Both were/are set up to score because they do the job properly. By the way, at the rate at which Saints are being awarded penalties, MLT's, 47/48 will almost certainly not be challenged. If Rickie gets to about 40 before retiring, one can only hope he never misses, because then he'll have his own special Saints record then. EDIT: By the way. Whenever Rickie steps up to take a penalty, I'm as sure as putting my house on him scoring. I just think GOAL..! And my thoughts don't do diddley-squat either.
I remember WBA away first day of the season. We got that penalty and me and all around me went: "YESSSS! 1-0!!!!" Before shaking like ****ting dogs and then wondering why we ever doubted him.
Ditto. I can't watch penalties at the best of times, but now when it's Rickie I feel even worse, when I should be feeling confident.
His penalty record was mentioned to Rickie in an interview about England and he said he hoped he wouldn't be taken just for that. Makes sense because what are the chances of him taking a penalty...zilch during a game (for some crazy reason he will never be asked) and bit less than zilch in a penalty shoot out. He wants to play, not just be chucked on towards the end for the penalties.
If England won a penalty in the World Cup this summer, are you allowed to make a substitution before you take it? Super sub Lambert
I think so. Just checked the laws of the game as I wasn't sure and it only said subs may be made during a stoppage in play.
