"Hull City Official @hullcityteam PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Voting is now open for our 2013/14 Player of the Year. Follow the link to submit your vote http://vote.hulltigers.com/ #UTT" Look at the web address.
It's not an old one either, it was still hullcityafc.net until late last year, then it became hullcitytigers.com, then hulltigers.com.
I attempted to vote, and it told me that my email was a duplicate address? Bit odd.. I would have said Davies anyway.
Davies has to be the clearest player of the year we have had in my lifetime, even more than Elliott or Delaney ever were. I'd be surprised if he doesnt get 95% of the vote. And still the southern media obsessed with 'players theyve heard of' will put Tom as the lynchpin of our successful season and call him the bargain transfer despite Davies costing half as much and being twice as consistent.
In terms of landslide wins, I'd say Davies this season along with: 04-05 Elliott 96-97 Darby 93-94 Deano 90-91 Payton 83-84 Marwood 82-83 Marwood The mid/late 80s were more competitive, I seem to remember, with Norman always great and Skip, Jobbo etc excelling.
When else has it been used? The OWS address is still hullcitytigers.com, this one is different. Is there anything that can be done about this? Whether he restarts the name change crap or not I'm sick of the old ****'s petty taunts like this. Was it the PL who frowned upon his insistence that other clubs call us Hull City Tigers at the start of this season?
Davies for me (and by the look of things, everybody else), he's been outstanding. I'll admit I had my doubts after his last forray with Villa and I didn't think he was that impressive for Birmingham, but I've happily been proven wrong and we'll do well to hang onto him in the Summer. Thudd has also been brilliant, but a player of that class is always going to shine in a team that only just came up. Special mention also to Livermore, he's been our engine room and does the hard work for the other players. People always bang on about Meyler, yeah he's alright but his goal threat aside, I don't think he does enough in games to warrant being a contender for goal of the season. He just isn't hungry enough for the game for me, whereas the other midfielders seem to grab the game by the scruff of the neck, like Ash used to.
It went to hulltigers.com for a while, then went back to hullcitytigers.com, if you go to hulltigers.com, it just auto-diverts to hullcitytigers.com.
Curtis should win in a landslide. But Thudd, Livermore, and others could have won any other year. Terrific team effort with some real quality this year.
