http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...CMP=SOC-SunFootball-SFtw-24_04_2014-318-0-0-0 ADAM JOHNSON reckons Sunderlandâs miraculous recovery has come about because they are no longer only relying on him! The England winger went on a one-man mission to keep his side up at the turn of the year, netting six times in four games to help the Black Cats pick up 10 points from a possible 12. If anyone has a Sun membership, would be good to read this full article... Whilst I admit we have all seen Johnson likes to be tricky and do strange things, can't believe he would be this big headed...
We could do with him in that form again in the next 3 games! Him and Wickham in red hot goal scoring form would be unbeatable! I think he's been taken out of context.
He talks a good game he plays one in six, that's why he is not in the England team, and that is why Man City got shot. But to add balance this it is what you get from most wingers, so perhaps Adam knows what he is talking about, it certainly baffles me. Come on son put three good games together and who knows we could have two players in the England world cup squad, what an end to the season this COULD be.
Rubbish - he's not in the England team because he's at Sunderland - he said himself he got more England game time when he was playing half an hour every 6 weeks for City. His form was fantastic leading up to the England announcement - Roy leaves him out of the squad and his form dips. I've been working since I was 16 and been passed over for promotion about 6 times for people I thought were less deserving - it affected my performance at work massively every time - same basic principle. Most players, regardless of who they are, want to play for their country. When Hodgson picked the shower of ****e he picked (with a few exceptions) Johnson probably thought "Well why should I bother" as, at the time, he was the best left footed winger in the Country and Townsend and people like that got picked ahead of him (1 goal and 0 assists for Townsend vs 7 goals and 6 assists for Johnson)
AJ has being playing ok, does he have to play like he's player of the month form every game like? That's a bit unrealistic. In three of his last 5 games he's achieved well over 80% passing accuracy. The only bad game he's had in the last 5 was Chelsea but plenty stepped up to the plate so don't get this 1 in 6 talk
Completely agre with you Marcus. I would be gutted if I was him, thinking what do I have to do ahead of these other plonkers. I was critical of him at the weekend in that his end product wasn't up to his usual high standards. But as smug pointed out, he put in a massive shift all over the park to help the overall team effort and performance. i feel he is maturing into a more rounded player and man which is good for us - i.e. If the magic ain't quite happening you still put a shift in for the cause. Woy Wodgson is a political, footballing dinosaur.
Hi all, I am a Postgraduate Student at Northumbria University. In my studies, I have found theories of the home advantage to be particularly interesting. More specifically, identifying the causes of home advantage perceived by fans and players is of importance to me and is the topic of my Postgraduate Thesis Project. I was wondering if it was possible for any of you to help me with my Thesis Project by completing a short questionnaire I have designed? The questionnaire itself will comprise of various questions with regards to the causes of the home advantage and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Questions will assess fans's attitudes towards the home advantage and therefore will not consist of any questions that will cause any discomfort or embarrassment. Confidentiality will be held for those who complete the questionnaire, and more information concerning confidentiality and questions about the study itself will be available through the link. Thanks very much in advance! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8DXL2NB
