NBA does it right! take note FIFA, UEFA and the FA http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/4/29/5664714/donald-sterling-suspension-clippers-racist-nba-tmz
Cant see why they have done this? This was not like he had gone out in public and made the comments it was a private spat with his gold digger Latino girlfriend that recorded the conversion then made it public via her COUGH Lawyers COUGH. I see no mention of of shaq o'neal taking the piss out of the disabled fan that jumped onto this.....Ohhh wait he is sorry now Don't agree with what he has said, but what one says in his or her personal life is private and should stay private.
He's got loads of previous, this is just the straw that broke the camels back. Anyway, **** him, he's an arsehole.
Arhhhh, Well at lest Shaq is sorry and Mr Sterling's girlfriend will get a wedge and looking at him he is not long of having a chat with the grim reaper
Is that all you've got to say, Reg? I thought you were vehemently opposed to the whole "Kick It Out" thing?
Interesting that the NBA have that power Even if forced to sell he paid $12 million for the team , they are now worth approx. $800 million . Looking at how old he is I'd cash in quick and get the money spent if i was him
More like forcing him to sell the club , he should have tried the 'nobody tells me how to run my business' line
Sterling is an arsehole, no doubt about it, with previous on this topic of racism. However, this was a private conversation he had with his bird. The NBA decision is interesting, and likely to be contested in a court of law because it may be an infringement of privacy laws. He (in this particular case) said nothing in public. It almost seems he has been set up do get him & his ownership out of the NBA. His estranged wife is suing his bird also. Imagine saying something "naughty/controversial/non-politically correct " when in bed with your bird. Can your employees fire you, fine you, kill your life-line because she tapes it & leaks it to the press ? I'm not condoning his words by any stretch of the imagination...but there should be due process in law & not English-like gutter/tabloid press convictions. The NBA seem to have done that. They may be able to get away with it in the U.S., but lets not hope so without a fair trial.
Whatever the outcome of this, I agree with the OP & how FIFA/UEFA should deal with the racism that's blatantly obvious & in the public.
