Who are we nominating for most utter **** player of the season? Altidore. O'Shea Fletcher. Dossena.....for that mad tackle and sending of at Hull. Who's your choice?
I don't really criticise players, to that degree, until they leave tbh. At the end of the day, it's a Sunderland manager who brought them in and a Sunderland manager who's played them. It could very easily have been Wickham, for some people, but he was played out of position, brought on when games were lost and sent out to the lower leagues. Bardsley was 'the scum of the earth' but is now a hero again for some etc.
JOS. 3 good games does not counter the sheer amount of mistakes, of penalties and own goals, of losing his man on a corner. He's probably just about done at top level now.
Oshea and brown together have been good in all honesty. Dossena hasnt played that much really. One incident doesnt make a season. Altidore hasnt score but he has worked hard under a lot of pressure. Fletcher has been ****.
Oshea for me, I counted 9 goals hes directly cost us. Someone said it was an even higher 12. He basically looks ok when Brown plays well. A young centre half should be brought in (caulker) to play alongside Brown next year with Oshea and Roberge as back up.
100% this. O'Shea has really let us down and it is Brown that makes him look good. Caulker is definitely top of my list of summer transfer targets (if we stay up). Would certainly like to see Roberge given more of a chance too. Surprised he hasn't figured much under Poyet as he seems to be his kind of player - decent/composed on the ball, good passer, comfortable bringing the ball out from the back. I firmly believe all of our centre halves will do a decent job playing alongside Brown. They struggled at the start of the season when they were playing alongside each other due to lack of playing time together and the language barrier; or alongside O'****e who doesn't fill anyone with confidence.

This... Or Fletcher. I know Altidore hasn't impressed but O'Shea has cost us a **** load of points and Fletcher has had an unbelievable fall from grace.

Aye he ain't the quickest like, surely there has been slower players, has there? Also like Gonads say's, are his prem days way behind him?
Altidore is no contest. Expectation minimum 10 gaols - maybe if lucky 20, great in Dutch league and looked completed, fast, strong, good finishing, heading, left foot right foot, close and far away.. so sad to see reality.
