If it those that have just gone to the semi then yes, it is sad, perhaps phase 3 should have been again for those that had been to at least 2 games & the semi. However, as you say, it's a moot point. Hopefully those who decided to wait for the final, like in the HDM article, either still won't go as they had no intention & just wanted to be in the paper or won't get tickets.
That's me i work offshore so no point in season pass but get to as many home games that are available when home I missed the semi because offshore and I know I will never get a ticket to the final but I hope everybody has a good time and city win
I was under the impression that the club would re-imburse season ticket holders for any games that they can't make it to....is that correct? If so then the only reason not to buy a season pass would be for lack of funds for the initial outlay.
I think passholders get £10 credit off the next seasons pass for each game you don't get to and notify them in time.
I tried the buy back for a game I couldn't get to. I didn't hear back from the club so rang them back the day before the game and was told that you only got the £10 credit if the ticket was re-sold (and I imagine they'll sell their own first). I said forgot about it then I'll just give my pass to someone, but was advised that it had already been taken off my season card and if I wanted to do that I would have to come into the ticket office to be issued a replacement.
If that's true Mr Hat (and you're not taking your usual piss) then thank you, maybe that's what I was thinking about but as I live on this planet (SandB) I never miss a game therefore wouldn't really know if they do or not. Thanks Siegfried I think you've just confirmed there is a 'potential' buy back in place
The buy-back only works for Arsenal, Cheslea, Man United, Liverpool etc, for the other games they don't sell them and you only get a tenner back anyway.
Just received this message from a mate - Phase 3. Ticket office not accepting semi stubs connected with already used season cards. Only +1 stubs accepted. If you're going to queue all night, make sure that you've got the details of the pass holder in the name your ticket was bought and make sure it's not been used already, they're all going to be checked.
No not everybody did, some of us work weekends and would never have expected us to go this far in the competition hence wouldn't have booked the time off work enough in advance!
Thank you for being one of the few people with some genuine sympathy for fans who are going to miss out. Sick of moronic comments like " If you were a real fan you'd have bought a season ticket and would be guaranteed a final ticket", a season ticket just does not make financial sense unless you live in Hull or nearby and are able to attend most games. That doesn't mean those of use who live away don't attend whenever we get the chance. Doesn't make us any less of fan.
It's a shame that people who's first game ever (or even this season or in the last few years) was the semi final are prioritised over those who don't have a pass and couldn't make the semi. There should have been some sort of loyalty priority system for this. Now I doubt many day outers will be so desperate as to queue all day & night to get a ticket but if they do it will be a travesty that deserving fans who couldn't get to the semi will most likely be sat at home or in the pub whilst day trippers are having lots of fun making everyone sit down whilst waving their foam hands and scoffing their hot dogs at Wembley. Anyone who just thought "I'll just wait for the final and go there instead" is rightly being fobbed off. That is the one advantage to this system.
Loads of deserving cases in the nonpassholding population, many who supported our great club through the dark days, many who live away and can't now justify maintaining a pass. Good luck to all real City fans in getting hold of tickets, we want you all there with us at our greatest game, no day trippers.
I couldn't get to the semi final as I booked the holiday last year, honestly not thinking we'd get past the 3rd/4th round. As it happened I went to every cup game, home and away, but I figured that if I was to go to the semi final, I 1) Wouldn't be able to afford to go to the final and 2) The magic of a Wembley semi-final isn't as great as the final. So as it was I went away watched the match on TV. I knew that I'd be able to get a ticket for the final anyway, plus it meant not pissing off the missus and getting a holiday. When I was queuing up yesterday, there was a young lad about 2 or 3 people back that said something along the lines of "If you didn't go to the semi final, you shouldn't get tickets for the final" which is ****ing ridiculous. He seemed more happy about getting a wi-fi signal and sending a snapchat than he did about getting a ticket.
Fine as long as you aren't complaining about it But really , everybody did get a chance to buy a semi-final ticket , you didn't even have to go , buy it and give it away
Well I've got my ticket already sat nicely here at home with me so I'm not panicking. Or queuing. Feet up, cuppa, mrs about to make chicken fajitas then shower & watch the Chelsea game in HD with surround sound on my huge corner sofa, then hop into my comfy king size bed. I won't be envying all those sleeping rough on a nice concrete floor and ill probably laugh if it pisses it down. But good on you for your devotion to queue all night to ensure your place at the clubs first ever cup final. Hope all goes well, and fingers crossed for good weather. This message doesn't extend to day trippers who should do the right thing and leave the queue to make space for proper city supporters, but those types won't be on here reading this anyway so I didn't really need to put it. If any day trippers or Man U/Liverpool/Chelsea fans are on here reading this and youre there queuing up to rob city fans of the right to attend or even thinking of selling your tickets on for a profit I hope a dog walker walks past and his dog pisses on your head whilst you sleep on an ant hive and the dog piss attracts wasps to sting your face repeatedly.
