I was delighted that ML was sacked, knowing that Garry Monk would give his all and ensure we stayed in the Premier League. We will never know if Laudrup would have kept us up or not and we'll all have our opinions on that subject along with whether GM should now be installed as manager. One of the reasons that I was delighted that ML was sacked, was that come summer, if he had stayed and kept us up, we would have had months of speculation regarding his position, would he stay, would he go. He would have been completely 'hands off' positioning himself in his home in Majorca with little or no communication with HJ, as I believe it was last summer. Therefore as a club I think we need to ensure that we take advantage of this ideal situation that we now find ourselves in. We know we are safe, we have over 3 months before next season starts. If the board feel that GM isn't the right man for the job then I hope this is resolved as soon as possible. Personally I would give the job to Monks. He will give 100% and be at his desk all summer, like Martinez and Rodgers before him, meticulously planning for next season. We all know he knows the club inside out etc. I do have my reservations, we could potentially need a complete rebuild of our back 4. Chico may well go, Ash may go looking for a last payday. Ben Davies may be sold if a bigger club come in for him. Rangel will still be there although I'd suggest he will become more of a squad player next season. So there's a hell of a lot to consider. I appreciate the views that GM should not get the job, the only thing I'd add is that if we give the job to GM, he should have complete control over whom he brings in as his number 2. This idea of bringing in an experience head is fine but it should be GM's decision.
Prepare yourself for an incoming flock of Chicken Littles. All posting from under the duvet, too afraid to go out in case something bad happens, on how a big name is needed to attract players, how the squad is in disarray etc etc.
That's just ****ing awesome. I mean really .... that you knew. Oh mighty oracle of the Liberty .... since we're all in need of some extra cash ... what nag is going to win the 3:00 pm at Ascot this Saturday.
Yes, I used to work for the club for a year and got to know several of the players pretty well. I knew the qualities that GM had, so at that point in the season had a good idea that when GM took over he would do a good job of securing us PL football next season. So fu*k off you tw*t
Which year, what did you do, and again who gives you the special knowledge ..... and we'll take it one season at a time. "next" season is another worry. Having an "idea" is not the same as "knowing" now is it.
This is all incredibly hostile to someone who was just offering his opinion. Michael Laudrup did a great job but we were (over a year) on a slide and there was unseemly hostility between him and Jenkins - as we can't really banish the board, logically it can only be the manager that moves on, with our thanks. I had been, prior to the last to the last few games, uncertain that we would survive and sure, wither way, that we should look elsewhere for management in the summer. At the moment I am 50/50. Pro Monk: The team's playing reasonably well, it's clearly working for Shelvey and Bony, we've finally managed back-to-back wins and the points average has likewise picked up. He wouldn't be yet another manager looking to jump at the first opportunity - I'm getting bloody tired of that. Anti-Monk: There are still questions over some of his tactics and substitutions - has he been too kind in giving opportunities to players that don't deserve them (Lita, Ngog), rather than building bridges with some others who seemed to have been cast aside? The results haven't been that impressive, although improving now. Really, if someone said Biesla/Oscar Garcia with Monk as the assistant then I would be happy with that.
When you joined this forum,I welcomed you. "If fu*k off you tw*t" is the best you can do,then I clearly made a mistake. Any mods around,to sort out this guy.
Glad you agree with me. The depressive negheads on here definitely need help. You included ,of course.
Yep he does, he is posting from under his duvet, too afraid to go outside in case something happens, too afraid to question anything, and just falls in line
Anyone who thinks he's so hard that he needs to incorporate an Uzi into his name is beyond help. So I got my initial assessment all wrong.
Actually,it's based on the nature of your posting on this forum. So no "conjecture",but it's a good word.
No evidence at all from any of my posts that I think I'm hard. Just another load of bollocks from you.
