Well, that maybe the end of him, anyone bothered? KI SUNG-YUENG might have kicked his last ball for Sunderland. The South Korean international midfielder has missed the Black Catsâ last three games with tendonitis of the knee. And head coach Gus Poyet fears the problem could well rule the skilful midfielder out of the remainder of Sunderlandâs season. âKi has been to see a specialist in London who has confirmed that it is tendonitis of the knee and needs to be treated carefully,â Poyet told the Echo. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...o-miss-sunderland-s-survival-finale-1-6585473
He was good at the start but like Paula Radcliffe, he now seems to have the noddy dog head on. Definitely has the ability but alas, no heart or so it seems. It's up to him, if he want's to be a footballer then he needs to get his head right. Would be no great loss to me if he ****s off back to sheep land.
Hes was our key player at one point but it seems his head went when it looked like we were down and he wouldn't be here next season. If the price was right id take him but id want more for the price swansea will want.
I'd definitely buy him in the summer like, but they'll probably ask for too much. Maybe he can go back there for a year till his contract expires and we can get him for free
I've no interest in keeping him, disappeared when the chips were down, or more specifically when there was no cup final to play for. He's a talented footballer, but given issues that he's had with his national side, and Swansea, strikes me he's one to avoid, we want players who want to be here every week and who get themselves up for the bread & butter games. We need to get solid to eventually get good, Ki won't aid that, based on what we've seen. If they are looking for £6-10 million, then it would be a folly to close that deal. He doesn't create or score enough as a CAM, he doesn't tackle enough to be a DM, he carries the ball well with simple passes and good vision, but then, if we have a midfielder doing that, we need another to do the other jobs. There's better out there.
When we signed him, I got slagg off for calling him **** & one of my many points was he doesn't score or creat enough. even cattermole trys to pass the ball forward more than him & that says it all pal. Plus, he is soft as **** in a tackle to. So bye bye Ki, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Wouldn't say he was ****e pal, but I agree he's weak as a kitten and lacks what we need, being guile and creativity. I'd take him for £4-5million, but they won't sell at the=at level, so it's a no go, simple.
I would have him if the price was right but to be honest I would rather have had Alfie back. What we need is a strong box to box midfielder, Diame, Nzonzi, the best example in the league of what I mean is YaYa Toure. I have high hopes for the young lad Ba in our development side.
But he's not ****e dingus, he's a very good footballer. Clearly an attitude problem but you questioned his ability based purely on the fact he was out of favour with Laudrup and showed your football knowledge up as two dimensional in the process. Oh by the way, in that thread the only mention of Ki's goals and creation from you was a request for someone to find out for you. Your first post on Ki.
I like Diame, we missed a trick not pressing on with him 2 years back. I'd find it hard to support N'Zonzi, he's a horrible little ****.
and for the record I was also wrong on the thread, but I can admit it, i'm wrong all the time but understand that opinion is not a matter of fact and that i'm not in competition with everyone. Happy days.
We seem to have Catts, Larsson and Colback starting but also have a bit of cover in there. Barring an injury crises of epic proportions over the next 2 weeks, no great loss. I'd sign him if the price is right - he's a decent footballer when things are going well. Takes a canny pen as well!
Love to read old threads look at the mugs who had a pop at me mugs. I didn't requst anyone to look up Ki goals & assits. I already knew it was a big fat 0. I ask wise man say about how many games he played & how many he started so get it right.
