Well that's the thing. If you call someone a black t**t you could be arrested but what if a black man calls a white man a white twat, is that an equally arrestable offence? As you say, fat, skinny, queer, spotty could all be taken as equally offensive by some folk. Just where in the sand do you draw the line? Lol,
It's only the do gooders in parliament and "equality" groups that are offended by any of these words. I know a lot of black lads and all of them would be perfectly happy for me to call them an offensive name related to their skin colour if, for example, they called me a "fat bastard" or whatever. At the end of the day a verbal attack is a verbal attack, who decides which things are off limits? It's not the denominations we need to blame (in the main) it's the do-gooders who think they are saving the world with their equality crap.
With English like that, people could call myself many a think, drunken ****, comes to mind, mong English.
If some stranger called you a twat in bar you would be rolling around fighting within seconds. If you are not racist you won't feel the need to mention someone's skin color all the time. Don't worry about political correctness just treat your fellow man with respect.
If someone walks into a bar and calls me an ugly twat, and I respond by calling them a black twat, how come I am the one who could go to prison and the other guy has committed no offence whatsoever?
It's a mess mate, if names really hurt people they need to have a look at themselves and maybe get themselves out of their cushty 4 star lives and see what real hurt and upset is in a war torn zone like the Congo or anywhere else.
Also it is also an offence if a racist remark is made and the person who it is directed at does not make the complaint but someone else hears the remark and he/she makes the complaint.
I've got two gay mates and a gay sister and I call them worse than **** They know I'm joking though. If i'm out with them on one of their 'special nights' quite few people have taken offence about the way I've spoken to one of them. They get told to **** off and mind their own of course, by me and my friends.
