    Fully agree.

It's one of the most infuriating things to see even when it's your own team. Did my head in on Saturday watching Aluko run it into the corner then see them hold the free kick down there. Should have just whipped it in the box and gone for a winner.

Catch 22 though because if the ball had of got cleared which saw Fulham break score maybe most fans would of said he should of kept the ball and ran the clock down

Ask West Brom fans which they would have preferred in the Cardiff game.

Win first; entertain second. If entertainment is first on your list, go to the theatre or summat. This is sport, not entertainment.

They didn't "try" to win the game, yet they did actually win it, 2-0; bizarre that, isn't it? Maybe Mourinho understands the fact that there is more than one way to win a game?

You just answered your own question.

I despair at the **** spouted on here sometimes, I really do....

I've been thinking a bit more about what Rogers said, and the more I think about it, the more absurd he becomes.

Think about it; the losing manager criticises the tactics used by the team who just beat them. How ****ing ridiculous is that? You lose, because your tactics are inferior, then criticise the other manager's superior tactics! You couldn't make it up!!

    Wait till the final Polly,

if we lose Bruce will accept the defeat with magnanimity, if Arsenal lose Wenger will piss and moan before hopefully getting the sack.

    I had £3 on 1-0 to Chelsea at 14-1.

    Unbelievable.

I also had money on 3-0 for the Man Utd v Norwich game with Rooney as first scorer.

    Unbelievable.

What a load of old pony.

Mourinho has done 'em like a kipper and how he has done it should be applauded.

A master class in how to execute a game plan, he did the same against Man City the other week.

I think people forget there are two sides to the game of football. Defence and attack.

BR showed the difference between him and JM yesterday. JM can see another team and counter them. Liverpools MO is start at full pelt, overwhelm the other team, bang a couple in then sit back taking chances when they arise.

It would be mental to allow them to do that, so JM stopped it, perfectly. If the game had called for a full on assault from Chelsea that's what they'd have done. The key to beating Liverpool is to stop them at full speed, and neutralise players like Suarez, which they did, he was anonymous yesterday. Same as the job we did on them when we beat them. We didn't in the second game and look how that ended.

Rogers has NO plan B. If they can't overwhelm their opposition, they're screwed. Man C and Chelsea can both adapt, and have. Yesterday's game was good to watch as the game is just about tactics as it is rugby style score lines. I don't understand why anyone English wouldn't get that. I realise Americans think the games too slow, not enough goals etc but surely we appreciate all the different nuances of the game??

Plus how can you accuse Chelsea of playing negatively or trying to stop beautiful football when they managed to score twice and Liverpool didn't score at all?

I really don't care who wins the PL this season beyond REALLY hoping it isn't Liverpool. Their claim to wanting to play beautiful football considering the antics of Suarez and Skrtel among many others this season is just farcical.

I seem to recall a certain game at the Emirates a few years ago, poor old Arsenal getting beaten by a defensive Hull City, also a miserable 0-0 draw at Spurs when they absolutely battered us, what's wrong with football?

This appeared on my FB newsfeed yesterday afternoon, pre-game. I consider it to be about bob-on.

"Is it me or is there a certain irony that some using the term "anti-football" today will celebrate Suarez being named "Footballer of the Year"?!"

    Amen to that brutha.

Make my teeth hurt thinking about that arsehole winning that award. Yes he's a great player, at times, but he's also one of the worst cheats and biggest ****ers in the whole of the game.

Its annoying that such a ****er and cheat has won the award, its more annoying that he simply didn't deserve it, Yaya Toure should have won it hands down, both his individual talent and his contribution to the team have been second to none this season.

He showed his limitations yesterday. Utterly anonymous. Moreover, I heard some stats which suggested that he hardly scored any goals against teams from the top end of the table. They were all against Norwich, basically.

I like Rodgers but it came as no surprise that Chelsea won the game. Jose is the master of winning big games.

In saying that, If Gerrard had left his banana boots in the dressing room the game would have finished 0-0 and Liverpool would still be in the driving seat. imo.

Jose is going to help our Brucie with his Wembley game plan just to piss off the Whinging Wenger-man further. <whistle>

Spot on. Something that Mr Hat needs to take a note of. <ok>

Indeed John. Maybe he is trying to overhaul Jamie Carragher's own goal record for both Liverpool and the PL.?

Didn't it just makes it extra satisfying that that a miss control by 'Stevie G' gifted them the first goal.

The way he busted a gut to try to rectify his **** up, yet ultimately failed was just the cherry on the top.

There was loads of stats last season about Suarez at Liverpool and how the team behind the the strikers created more chances than any other team (behind the strikers) in the PL (by far) and that anyone with a decent shot to goal ratio would bang them in in that team. This season he has, admittedly, been scoring a lot, but before this season Suarez was actually one of the most wasteful strikers in the PL, in terms of goals to shots.

I do not, and will not, rate him as a top top striker.
