Stupid as f**k isnt it? Seems to have stuck with them though so I am sure in years to come we will be ripping them for it like that other famous scouse phrase..... next year is our year. Who came up with it and why has it caught on? Is it another example of Gerrard/B-Rod trying to be cool? Its not working.... Funny as f**k when you see old age pensioners like Dave using it though haha. Hes more about hip replacements than hip phrases.
Gerrard said it after the City game, when they (and most of the media) thought they'd clinched the title that afternoon. He was trying to play down the significance of the win (despite the obvious title celebrations on and off the pitch) and used that expression to refer to the Norwich game
Ah cheers. No doubt its going to be used to take the piss out of them now then. A phrase linked with Liverpools premature title celebrations. Wheres their bus for the parade? Its inevitable they have one. they had one in 2009
They could still win it you know lads...... As much as yesterday could prove to be the day that they blew their best chance in 24 years, there's still a decent chance that they could still lift it, ironically aided and abetted by us...........
True and nobodies saying otherwise. We are having a laugh at their game yesterday and Gerrards tendency to do and say really stupid things. Do Arsenal play twice before Everton next play tobes? Could be telling.
We didnt think we'd won anything! The celebrations and emotions coming out there were for obviously winning an important game and given the occasion with it being the Hillsborough weekend. You'd have to be non human to not get a bit emotional!
Indeed, we could lift the CL along with Premiership, maybe you could try doing that, oh wait Why do you watch our games but tape your own mate?
Yes mate, but they'll seal 4th tonight against the useless Geordies, so Saturday becomes irrelevant really as they'll be 4 points ahead with 2 games left. Gerrards howler yesterday was an absolute peach tbh.
Bollocks. It was a title celebration that day, the crowd the players and the media thought it was as good as yours that afternoon.
all i know is that today every scousers l/pool shirt must have spontaneously combusted because not 1 as been seen today, and last week they where everywhere?plastics.
Down here in the United supporting Heartlands of Surrey there hasn't been a United top seen since Christmas!
Disagree completely it was just a way of rising up the crowd and using them as an incentive to push for the league nobody thought it was won.
