Do we? I have to say I can't see it myself. He is one of the many cancers in the club for me. We should have known from his troubled history.The single most telling element of all is not a single club has shown any interest in rescuing him from nightmare. We'd be more than willing to sell. If he was so mindblowingly good, they'd have queued up round the block to take a risk on him. The top managers know he is a waste of space. I wanted to see if he could harness that natural ability. At 27 it has been conclusively proven he can't. To then start disrespecting the club and fans by being unprofessional, well that's goodbye time for me.

I think we have plenty to lose. The club deserves better than the likes of Pardew, Shola and HBA. It deserves a bit more respect. I have no doubt if a new manager came in, HBA would suddenly up his game and we'd see a little good form. How long before he starts with his ****e again though? There have to be better players out there for us. There are at least 10-15 better attacking midfielders in this division alone.

 

Probably blame Ben Arfa for not being there, wasting his talent and therefore weakening the side.

 

At 24 years of age, you can forgive people for having sentiment towards him. Genuine flashed of brilliance at times, but hugely inconsistent. Fast forward 3 years and he's worse. Blame Pardew, sure, he'll have had some kind of impact I'm certain. But at some point a player has to just do it, apply themselves and appreciate what they do for a living. We'll never get that with HBA. What was interesting was seeing Wayne Routledge, a free cast-off, do to us at SJP what we feel HBA should be doing to the opposition. Don't get me wrong, I don't think you get the best out of Hatem by asking him to track back or working to tactics that focus on stopping the opposition.

 

I won't shed a tear when HBA is gone for good.
The sooner the better IMO.
