In the nicest possible way, I hope that we don't see him again this season. Unless it is coming off the bench to play in central midfield. The lad seems out on his feet. You can almost sense his frustration playing out on the right, and sadly the harder he tries the worse he seems to get. His touch on the ball seems has deserted him completely.

Horse racing trainers on the flat often get a run into a promising two year old colt, and then 'put them away' for a high class three year old campaign.

Riga should now do the same with Jordan Cousins.

Agreed. Play Wilson on the right instead, with Poyet and Jackson in the middle.

I doubt Riga will do it, though.

Wilson Poyet Jackson Harriot would be my midfield on tuesday, but obviously that depends on whether Solly can play again. Everyone can see that Cousins on the right doesn't work...everyone except the 2 people that have mattered in Powell and now Riga.

Or he can play RB like he did in the u21s and have Wilson RM? Been calling for that all season

Completely agree with you on this one Vol. Wilson is more than good enough on the right and Cousins should not be played out wide unless we have nobody else fit. Thought we looked most dangerous against Blackburn when coming from out wide, so to bring off Harriott and then not bring on Wilson at any point was very odd. Astrit looked completely exhausted even before half time.

Next season we need to start with a squad of players, with actual cover for each position. Feeling positive we can stay up, and think we may actually see some progress, albeit small steps at a time. Hopefully we do not leave it late and show our intentions early, i cant take another summer of speculation and worry

Bizarrely we seem to have found a subject on which everyone broadly agrees!

Especially one that's been instigated by Vol!

If it weren't for the drift to right midfield I think Cousins would have been, all things considered, my POTY.

In the end I forgot to vote.

If it's a four man midfield on Tuesday, and Solly can start, I'd start Harriott-Poyet-Cousins-Wilson. If it's five, start Wilson, drop AA or JJ

Yeah, I agree. Not for any problem with Cousins, but no matter who picks the team, the guy always seems to end up in a position guaranteed to bring out the worst in him. Give him a rest (on the bench), put Wilson wide, and Sordell up front.

    Midfield for Watford:

Wilson. Jackson. Poyet. ???? I am struggling. Either Harriott or AA.

Don't matter how we mix it up, there's more thrust in a eunuch than their is in our midfield...

Completely agree! Some if Riga's team selection's baffle me, Harriott on the right wing? Obika on the left wing? His refusal to play Wilson in any other position other then RB! If he could just play everyone in the best position in Tuesday we could get something...
