Its looking like Sunderland need to beat hull or WBA at home to relegate, Cardiff, Norwich and Fulham.

Norwich would need 4 points and Fulham 6 points from 2 games.

Interesting decision from dowd, a player gets pulled back and he let's him play on but he's forced wide. Play goes on for 5 secs and then he gives a pen and sends him off.

Fair play to the forward for not throwing himself to the ground and the ref but it was outside the box.

Poyet's done a remarkable job. To get four points from City and Chelsea away in a few days under the pressure on them was special.

I don't have a particular dislike as some of us do for the three looking likely to go down now but Norwich really are so smug about everything and at least Mick Dennis might stop whining about QPR for five minutes.

If it's a red card offence then play should have stopped straight away - supposing advantage had been played and the player who shouldn't be on the pitch makes a legal goal line clearance?

Pretty happy with the way the bottom looks now. At one point I'd have liked to have seen Villa in there but then thought if we didn't go up this year we'd have them as a stronger promotion rival next year. All we need now is Man city to hit the top to avoid months of hearing smug scousers and Chelsea fans giving it large.

Regarding the penalty given today at Sunderland and it being outside the box. I heard some expert yesterday...can't remember who or on which game....saying as long as the incident carries on into the box and the whistle hasn't already blown then a penalty CAN be given. Never heard that before myself...any Refs out there know. (refs..not people who think they know)

The only way it could get better is if stoke get relegated through financial irregularities!

The scum winning has a silver lining, they play Norwich next and may have played a weak team if they lost against Liverpool.

What difference would that make? They'd beat us anyway.

We know our place, it's down in the lower leagues with the likes of you. We don't have Ryan Giggs as Manager, you know?

PL gets on my tits, they don't want teams like ours there. I may start going to matches again next year (might have to miss the Hoops game though - I promised Andy a pint!)

Hi there Telford mate, no not looking good, inevitable now methinks.

Good luck in the play-offs, as I said before (we were sorting out some arrogant Manure fan I believe ) always had a soft spot for you guys. A few who seem to have taken against us isn't going to change that.

Stoke have Hughes and we hate him as well. Theres 5 teams generally not like by our fans, the 3 that look like going down, Stoke and Chelsea so its a dream scenario for us unless sunderland blow it.
