Shame we had a manager for 33 games of the season who couldn't influence a game with substitutions if his life depended on it. But he was a nice guy so we obviously don't know what we're talking about.
So now we're well and truly in the ****e, we need the performance of a life time to lift ourselves back out.
I was just about resigned to our fate way back at the end of last year mate. I never had the confidence that we could claw our way out of trouble
Didn't he keep us out of the bottom 3? Seriously, the Hughton hate/blame is a little pathetic now. We are most likely going to get relegated, but lets not blame it all on the Manager.
We are literally sleep walking into relegation. By Mcnally's rationale he would be getting rid of Hughton now.
I'm not going to take a guess at percentage, but I just think if the players stopped with the silly mistakes, taking their chances better and not collapse after taking a lead, we wouldn't be where we are and not to mention the bad luck with injuries. Yes I know Hughton has to take some blame for it, but I think it's a little harsh to completely blame him.
Hooper and Tettey not in the starting line, that's a little disappointing. I would have thought Hooper would have started.
Full team: Ruddy; Whittaker, Martin (c), Turner, Olsson; Johnson; Fer, Howson; Snodgrass; Redmond, van Wolfswinkel. Bunn (GK), Hooper, Gutierrez, Elmander, R Bennett, Tettey, Josh Murphy. versus De Gea; Jones, Vidic (c), Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa; Welbeck, Rooney. Lindegaard, Smalling, Mata, Chicharito, Nani, Young, Fletcher. Agree with Drunky that it's odd that Hooper scored against Liverpool then gets dropped, but RvW does perhaps have the better all round game. Return of the loanees on the bench.
