Any bookie which you can back Un De Sceaux on the PMU? Fairly certain will be bigger than evens over in France.

There's one less than 5mins down the road from me ROTO. Could wander down and have a bet but I won't put the mockers on it.

    Foxtrot Romeo 8/1

Foxtrot Romeo shaped extremely well on his first start for Marco Botti in the Spring Cup at Newbury (a race in which the front 3 home in the last 4 renewals had the benefit of a run) on seasonal reappearance earlier this month and if improving for the run I think this 5 year old could take a bit of stopping with the handicapper dropping him 2lb to a mark of 92. Now on his 4th trainer, (Andrew Tinkler has kept ownership) Foxtrot Romeo 2/3 year old for Bryan Smart with undoubtedly a career best coming when 2nd in the Irish Guineas in 2012 and although he has subsequently lost his way for Tommy Carmody & Johnny Murtagh I thought there was a lot of encouragement on his first run for Marco Botti on the back of a 307 day absence as he travelled very well for a long way before fading in the final furlong. Judged on his old form, Foxtrot Romeo is undoubtedly well handicapped off a mark of 92 and with his latest run suggesting he's still got his class of old I'm confident of a big performance. Well drawn in stall 5 and with the beautiful ground at Haydock sure to be to his liking, I think Foxtrot Romeo is primed to run a monster and hopefully he'll land his first victory since his racecourse debut.

Found out you can do it with Boyles by changing to DIV on the betslip.

But they don't offer a market for the race!

    Ah well.

Body And Soul is entered in a Group 1 sprint (Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot). But might need the run, making it's seasonal debut.

Un De Sceaux really is a magnificent jumper of a hurdler. So fluent at every obstacle.

Impressive by UDS but surely has to be campaigned over 2 miles. How good would he be if he learned to settle!

Wonder will UDS go chasing next season or stay hurdling? Mr Mullins has some headaches about where to send Vautour, Faugheen, UDS and Annie Power next season doesn't he, bless him <laugh>

Agree fully with Boston Bob on Southfield Theatre 4.20pm Sandown 2/1. The main worry is probably the jockey up but hopefully the horse can offset that by proving a cut above!

Here's Un de Sceaux's race today. Very impressive over a trip possibly on the long side for him

    3.30 Ripon

    Esteaming 9/1

I'd have been quite confident if this was on soft ground (handles good fine) but I'm a big fan of David Barron's quickly improving 4 year old and although a stamina question has to be answered I think Esteaming can shrug off a 9lb rise in a better race and I really feel this horse will competing in Pattern Company in the very near future. A winner of 3 of 12 career starts, Esteaming is clearly a horse on a sharp upward curve and he ran out a very impressive winner over 10f at Newcastle in testing conditions when he won with any amount in hand and although the step up to 2 miles is a big, big unknown (won over 12f) I think if he gets it he should go extremely close off a mark of 94.

Esteaming definitely one for the notebook. Had a ridiculous passage and was blocked off about a million times. Think he stayed the 2 miles fine and Graham Gibbons wasn't too hard on him.

Foxtrot Romeo held every chance but just wasn't good enough on the day.

Couldn't have ridden it any better myself, although it would have been carrying 10 Stone O/W <laugh>

Bad luck to Burton Port backers in the big race. Wonder what price Hadrian's Approach was in running.
