So true, I miss living in Norwich, the only city where people say hello to you in the street. For those that want to speak Norfolk: http://www.norfolkdialect.com/glossary01.htm
Seals scattered on Blakeney sandbanks; A wherry carving majestically through reedbanked rivers, Silent contemplation in Cathedral cloisters; Giant rhodedendrons sweeping colour across Sheringham park. A pint of Wherry in a broadland beer garden The scents and colours of Norwich market place But most of all... The roar of the crowd.
The ale The coast The broads Norwich - churches/elm hill and other historic areas Nelson Amongst others It's not suffolk
Great link Dave, Being from outside Norfolk I have experienced how "aloof" people from Norfolk can be. At first I didn't like it and wanted to move back to Essex. Then slowly as people realised I was here for the long haul and I employed more people from Norfolk I was accepted. Not just on a toleration basis but truly involved and invited. I am now starting to turn like this myself and I not even from Norfolk!
With you there bath. There is no better than that. The red lion on a hot day is great and also the fat cat.
Hi Dave bor, Tykes say Yorkshire is God's own country. Norfolk is Heaven on Earth ! Fenman bor, Holme Beach. Have you ever seen that old rusty tank among the dunes ?
