It seems to be in vogue to knock the Europa League ... somewhat unfairly in my opinion ... this year's four semi-finalists , Benfica, Juventus, Sevilla and Valencia are hardly European lightweights and I find it wryly amusing that it has become fashionable to mock this trophy whilst celebrating the 'success' in finishing, second, third or fourth in the Premiership to qualify for a competition with arguably the most misleading title in sport ... 'Champions' League my arse ... 75% of the competition is made up of 'highest finishing losers' from their respective leagues
Saw the title of the thread and immediately thought...Jinx thread? I must be getting used to this forum! In a way I hope it is jinxed. I wouldn't mind if we lose the next four games just in case those donuts in America get caught up in the euphoria and actually appoint Giggs and CO92 on a permanent basis!
It is not going to happen. Winning the last matches would be well within giggs or anyone else's capability. The teams are bottom half with due respect. It is teams in the top half that moyes has struggled against. Any team with good enough players to have a go. It would be good to find out whether with giggs the players can be arsed. The performances >>> results.
