I signed a lot of paperwork when I joined the company. I've was CRB checked and I've had my records checked by Interpol & Europol. Our systems are continually checked and our company invites a 3rd party to try and hack us every year. Our systems are used in an emergency (The flooding down in the south west is a prime example a company suffers a flood and they can't send e-mails out from the office to tell people to not bother coming in to work, they use our systems to communicate by text, e-mail, blackberry pin & voice messaging to get the message to their staff - we do a lot of other message based work as well) If you work in London (especially within the disaster recovery/business continuity industry) you may have heard of the Cross-sector Safety & Security Communications hub (CSSC) or the City of London Police's Warn & Inform scheme - this is all run by the company I work for (You'd be surprised the amount of e-mails people send me by accident when they are trying to shop a suspected terrorist) - I just forward them on and delete them from my hard drive
All very cloak & dagger for this particular thread. Do you work with the senior management team at The Cheese?
only messing bozz, i know the procedures etc, all the crap you have gone through you are cleared for working at buckinham palace if you wanted to lol don't work in london but have gone there for work purposes to see how things are done from when i have dealt with them etc, canary wharf where most of the finance sector is i believe? , i havent a clue about london as i hate the place, but use what they call the banking line if that means anything on the tube. (its not labelled that which is why i got confused lol) went to lunch at a damn fine place, was odd though, which is probably why i loved it lol, like an alchemists haven with cobwebs, spiders etc. you involved in the programming then or just the training side of the software? i used to train people, we used a software called bantec, if that means anything to you.
I'm lucky as I don't work in London we just happen to have a lot of customers in London. I'm currently involved in the training and customer service side of things but I'm interested in a technical support role that has opened up (I've expressed an interest but nothing is confirmed or even if my interest was noted, haha). One of the benefits I have is our office is a 20 minute walk from home (to continue the football theme its just down the road from Colchester's stadium) and I rarely have to go to London as I do a lot of remote training using webex. When I do go to London I always make sure I have a good lunch. I was in a building opposite the BBC a couple of months ago and it had a restaurant in the basement - the food was something else
****ing typical. All you think about is your gut and what you emit from your arsehole #thereoncewasathreadforthis
Had the dare devil hot dog and **** me it was hot!!! The combo for two on the side along with the standard hot fudge cake & ice cream have helped cook my mouth down though. The pint too of course
Sounds nice. I like the hot and cold for pudding Me and a mate used to do hot dog challenges and make them hotter as we went on with hotter chillies and sauces etc for each stage (he used to grow his own really hot chillies). The hottest we ever got to was stage 10 and we were in physical pain!
Ha those chillies. In the Eastern Caribbean we have Pepper Sauce and then we put it on nearly everything. The first time I had a Trini Double I forgot to ask for light pepper. After 1 bite I had anaesthetised my whole face! Always remebered to ask for light pepper after that.
i watched a james martin programme other day (may have been saturday kitchen not sure) where he had some bloke on their who grew chillie peppers, and they ranged from mild to some seriously hot ****ers. yrs ago i used to live in a hostel and one of the people who worked there said he would buy a pint for anyone who could eat a whole chiilie pepper, by this time i had already eaten about 5 of them lol, never got my free beer though is habanero still the hottest you can get? have a bottle of west indian pepper sauce in the fridge, lovely jubbly
Carolina Reaper apparently. I've munched a whole Naga which is the hottest grown here, used to be hottest in world...made me sweat a bit. Cooking a chilli as we speak! Love my chilli......And beer......always beer.
Sorry J but there's really no such thing as West Indian Pepper Sauce. What you buy in say Jamaica is very different from say Saint Lucia and again very different from what you'd buy in Barbados or Trinidad. There are some 'BIG' brands like Matouk's but most people prefer local concoctions.
i sort of knew it wasn't the real thing dave to be honest, you get any good recipes you can share whilst you was out there of the local concoctions. sadly i doubt i will be able to go to the Caribbean any time soon.
I'll see if I can dig some out for you over the weekend. But you may have a problem with the ingrediants as some of them are probably not readily available over here e.g shaddow benny or are called something-else over here. I get friends from Tobago to send me the things that I need.
Count me in on any recipes Dave....love the hotness...all new fiery concoctions are happily received!
