Elsewhere on another thread I have been a little critical of the management and our lack of signings so far this summer, and in many respects I stand by my criticism. But I have been looking through the signings made so far by all clubs in our division and so far this month 24 clubs in league 2 and there have been 24 registered transfers and they have been to 12 clubs so on average each team has signed 1 player, so perhaps we are not getting left behind and hopefully the club is conducting its business quietly and just trying to the best deals possible...I live in hope. As a matter of interest does anyone know when does pre- season training starts and players will want to train and we might at least see some new faces at training. I should also add that of course the transfer window does not officially open until 1st July and even the players released are contracted until 30th June.

Finally! A bit of perspective. The fact is that we still have a long time to rebuild before the start of the season, we all know that a lot can happen in the 1 and a bit months before Cheltenham come. And if what Hendon is saying about the potential signings raising some eyebrows, then i am happy to sit tight and see what comes up. Keep the faith!
lets just hope the signings are worth the wait and that things are just taking a bit of time to get done. lets remember we have signed joe martin and although it may not be a massive coup atleast its a start and a signing that filled a need. still plently of players left around trying to find the right deal and the right place and lets be honest atleast we seem to be trying to sign and getting linked with some quality. i'd be more worried if we were missing out on crap or just bringing in those that jump at our contract offers
Anther way to look at it is the fact that 12 Clubs have signed 2 players each and we are among the other 12 Clubs that have done nothing. Another question to raise is would we have signed any of the 24 players that have so far gone to other Clubs in our League? Ok, the actual start of the season is some way off but the friendlies start in less than 2 weeks and any new signings do need time to settle in and bond with the other players.
