basically im a newcastle fan and i keep an eye on these boards every now and then because theyre good for transfer rumours (even the speculative ones can be a laugh) but i was having a debate with a friend the other day (wolves fan) that convinced me to make my first post. my friend claimed that elokobi is hard as nails and could take anyone in a fight. obviously i disagreed stating that there is nobody in the known universe or any multiverse that could take tiote. so my question is, is tiote the hardest ever newcastle player? i struggle to think of many tougher

Tiote would slap you if he saw this article as he knows he can take anyone, after all, he created us. He won't have seen it though as he is currently surfing(without a surfboard) on Bondi beach. You have had a lucky escape.

Shearer used to be quite handy.

Duncan Ferguson was the hardest I can remember. He beat two theives that broke into his house up iirc.

Elokobi is a beast, but Tiote would take him down any day.

As for harder Newcastle players, I wouldn't want to be in a fight with Alan Smith or Lee Bowyer, but neither are as super-human as Tiote (or as good at football).

Duncan Ferguson was completely batshit insane!

He should of been a cage fighter instead of a pretty mediocre footballer! <laugh>

bowyer, really? its not like he managed to knock out dyer. shearer vs keane is one of my favourite shearer moments that doesnt involve him scoring

I think Alan Smith seems like a ****ing nutter. Anyone remember earlier in the season when he got his broken ankle (snapped more or less I believe) and all the physios came on with the stretcher and he just walked off. That man can take pain to the extreme

He managed to live in Leeds for over 20 years. That's taking pain to the extreme...

Honestly, Elokobi is a tank and I wouldn't mess with him, but he could not defeat Tiote!

The same Lee Bowyer that ran straight into Tiote at the Brum home game and just dropped to the floor in pain?

Oi! I'll have you know that Leeds is a super place to live, although I do admit that it is surrounded by holes (Bradford/Wakefield/Huddersfield etc)...and is the gateway to the miserable Midlands. But Leeds itself is a brilliant city, I would rate it on a par with Newcastle. Elland road is quite a state though.

I'll second the above, Leeds is mint. Like a big Newcastle.

Definitely. I rate it as part of the top 5 (my five fave cities), along with Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester and sections of London
