Just been discussing with a few mates our favourite games so far this season. Strangely mine has to be Fulham at home. Although we only won 2-0 we totally dominated the game from start to finish with Fulham barely having a sight of our goal. The stats show that we had 20 shots with 6 on target. Fulham had just one attempt! Had all the pundits praising our style, our players and MP for days afterwards. I can remember being on cloud 9 for ages after that one.
From the games I went to: Newcastle at home. That was fun. From the others: Liverpool away. Obviously.
Fulham away was very satisfying..... Adam, Rickie and Jay all scored crackers in front of a grinning Roy Hodgson, just before he named his England squad. Arsenal at home was good, especially the first half, when we made a very good team look ordinary, plus Jose scored in the first game after being assaulted by Osvaldo.
Man City at home was pretty good. Ended up with us disappointed not to get all 3 points. And for a moment, it looked like we'd struck gold in the transfer market.
Naturally I've loved the few thumpings we've dished out, & winning away at Anfield was great, but my vote is for Man City at home - obviously we didn't win & it wasn't a domination fest, but simply put, it was a damn good game of football.
I would say it would have to be Hull at home. We may have won 4-1, but I thought Hull played some nice football. Plus Bruce has grown on me this season and he had nothing but praise for us.
Hull at home for me as well. Great to witness that moment of beauty that was Lallana's goal. Also it was my partner's first football match. Clearly when she comes along, we win. The first of many, hopefully.
Home to Fulham, still the most one sided premiership game I've ever seen. How it ended 2-0 I'll never understand.
