A massive game now for City and Sunderland, a chance to pull themselves clear of the drop zone, against a fellow straggler in the drop zone. Basically the team that doesn't win will probably be relegated so a nervy game is queued up. The Black Cats have the momentum, 4 points from the games against Man City and Chelsea as well as a game in hand a win on Sunday could well make them favorites to escape the trap door, having looked previously doomed. However, City have had two decent results and have played a lot better than they have for most of the season. A case of too little too late. 3 games to go! Sunderland fan here and I simply daren't offer a prediction. A draw would be hopeless for both clubs, though more for us than you. In an ideal world, we'd both stay up and Fulham, Palace and West Ham go down. This is what someone from the CCFC Trust made of the match - and the season - at Salut! Sunderland: http://salutsunderland.com/2014/04/...-who-are-you-on-tan-malky-ole-and-relegation/ One reader in that site's score prediction slot went for 5-0 to SAFC so that the attendance would double with people claiming to have been there. I sense a nervous afternoon that could go either way
Thanks KS. Good honest article with the CCFC contributor giving reasonable, balanced views that are shared by most to a greater degree.
Okay, here we go. I really want us to win to enable us to take our survival attempts into the last 2 weeks. However, Sunderland are on a roll after 2 brilliant and totally unexpected results. They will be on a big high going into this and feeling really confident. It is so important for us to stop them from scoring in the first 20/25 minutes (something we have not been good at in crucial games). If we can do that then it will quieten their crowd and take some of the wind out of their players' sails. If we could nick a goal as well in that time so much the better and then park a bloody huge bus in front of Marshall for the rest of a totally squeaky, no, in this case ****ty bum game. However, I didn't get where I am today etc. Sorry guys, 3 - 1 to the Mackems with Cala to score again for us. I soooooo hope I am wrong and that we get something from this game.
isawronny - I'll have a pint of what you're on mate!! Don't think you're far away though - but I'm going to give them a goal........ Mackems 1 - 3 City with goals from Whitts, Jones and another juan from Juan.
