I haven't got the best memory in the world nor have I checked any statistics etc however would I be right in saying Darren Bent is the only SAFC player to score a hat trick at the SoL?

    Cheers TFP.
Couldn't think of Quinn or Philips and that's what surprised me.

I was at that game GG. Think Michael Gray scored a free kick earl on. The goals kept coming, it was a beautiful sunny day and I was in corporate getting a free lunch and drinks from a mag. Even he joined in with the cheering by the fourth goal.
Superb day from my point of view.
Cannot remember a hat trick that day tho.

Fair, like I said wasn't sure!

I was ****ing hammered that day, I remember falling out the Wheatsheaf doors at 2 mins to 3, trying to pouch a sarnie to blot it up, haha.

Missed the 1st goal pissing if I recall right, ah to be young....

'We're gonna struggle man nee Quinn & Phillips...'

    7-0, aye, we struggled...

Literally took the piss mate, remeber Bury away, easily the worst ground I've ever been in, but the atmosphere was wild man, the whole ground was buzzing, even the Bury fans.

The whole pace was shaking like a bastard, won 5-2 that was the win that sealed promotion, was wild man, Sunderland fans everywhere, the Bury lads were mint like, they backed us was like everywhere we went that season people were glad to have us and wanted to see us play, we were so ****ing entertaining, pure attack.

I'll keep that season forever me.

Was my Da's last full season before he died. I think it will always be the most special season for me.

Let's just hope Wickhams is the first top flight hat trick at the SOL after Sunday.

If he us, we will stop up IMO.

What great memories to end a lifetime of torture supporting the lads on mate, seriously, cos it's something we'll all think about at deaths door.

Even the next season was special too, after the opening day.
