Travelling back from work! Councillor Joe Anderson confirmed the news that the remainder had been bought.
The thing is that if we go do this we get to about the max allowed before we have to do the rail line etc We can add more probably as we look at it but I think the 1500 number below 69k is a little questionable why that number and not a little more I don't know
58.5k seater will be sold out every game, we all know it, and there'll still be a huge season ticket list and countless people unable to get a match ticket. Liverpool's support is insane, 58k seems like a safe increase - hopefully they'll expand further in the future.
Like has already been stated, would hope that it still allows room to increase by another 15k at least
That removes any chance of a solitary owner challenging the CPO's and potentially holding the job up for years then
I had a **** in the woods today whilst out walking the dog. Made a soya spaghetti bol last night, and it worked its way through. Looked like a brown pile full of risotto, tbh.
You must have been wet farting and rumbling downstairs all day. Hope you didn't spray anything other than the toilet bowl and forest floor. With naming rights I never understood why the historical stadium name had to be completely removed, say if we had Dunkin' Donuts as the stadium sponsor why not call it the Anfield Dunkin' Donuts Stadium?
Because it sounds **** Don't mind the idea if having the stands sponsored though, obviously won't get a much cash but the name Anfield is famous across the world. Shouldn't be messing with that.
Well I've always held that redevelopment is a big mistake, as the location is just all wrong for the modern era, but as a design, I like it, but I think it should stretch to go around the Kop, so that when we redevelop a Phase 3, you could eventually end up with a complete and uniform stadium, rather than 4 disjointed stands that don't match.
With 2 standing being upgraded and the KOP pretty much impossible to upgrade. How can upgrading the other one and only end, make up extra 15k seats?
Flappy, go back and read what JH had to say about corporate facilities in the re-furbed stadium in his open letter to the fans (think it was last year)
Am I right in thinking it wouldn't be possible to fill-in the corners? This seems a little too obvious for them to have "missed it"
Not worried the slightest. Fenway Park is one of the few major sports stadiums in the US where the name has not been sold. Henry, and FSG, have viewed the name itself as a brand, a brand that is worth more than any naming rights - since it's a storied and legendary ballpark. He has on occasions used similar rhetoric when referring to Anfield, so I expect him to use similar logic for Anfield, i.e. never sell the naming rights - since it's a storied and legendary football field. Naming a stadium after a doughnut might not be a bad idea actually... there is always a big hole in the middle.
We're both ****ing up by not building a huge joint facility in Stanley Park imo, always said the same. The argument against is short sighted and based on nothing logical for me. Too late now like, as we're on the verge of unveiling our next failure I understand.
Don't you people even read what JH and FSG have planned for the Anfield re-furb? He's already openly discussed the corporate issue, the number of seats and the cost of those seats?
No thank you. It's truly not in our corporate interest to enter into a joint venture. Even if it was I wouldn't want it to be located in Stanley Park
