Pardew Wants Shola Contract Extension.

According to Mark Douglas Pardew has been pushing for a contract extension for Shola, with a coaching role included. Happily this has been refused by MA. Likely this is a further kicking of Pards while he is down but I wouldn't be surprised if there was truth in it such has been the ineptitude of managerial decision making lately.

However, that is understood to have been knocked back, with Newcastle’s hierarchy preferring to refresh the squad in the summer and bring in new talent."

This is the final nail. Sack this clueless bastard now. Thank God the hierarchy have finally shown some sense.

 

Pardew can hand Shola a contract when he's managing Wimbledon AFC next season.

 

He is now behaving reckless so should be sacked immediately.

 

Obviously its the Journal and Mark Douglas, so there has to be a fair degree scepticism here. Both have an axe to grind and are typically highly unreliable in reporting factual goings on at SJP. Turning on the NE press is obviously a mistake, but putting that stupidity to one side, I can see why you would. The journalism up here is laughable.

However if it was true then he should have been sacked for the mere suggestion .

I'd have to suspect it isn't true as he has mentioned on several occasions that Shola is going. This is what happens when you make enemies in the press though, they will pick on emotive subjects to whip up the fans/internet forums etc to twist the knife. Lets face it, its probably unneccessary given the ill feeling towards Pard. Its probably more a bit of a dig to make things more uncomfortable for Ashley than Pardew. I think they may be underestimating Fat Ash though. When his advisor pops his head in to say "look what they are printing now, they have you and Alan at loggerheads" he probably laughed and said "now f**k off, you've made me lost count......1 billion and 1"

 

This is the line that 100% proves that this is a complete load of bull:

Somebody clearly didn't think through their attempts to wind us up properly.

 

Aye Mark went a bit far with that line. He could have had a more successful fishing expedition without it. Less is more Mark, less is more.

 

Looks to me like Mark Douglas trying to find new ways of telling Pardew he is getting sacked in the summer

 

Or Mike Ashley telling Pards to shut up and do as he's told.

 

Head butting is one thing but asking for an extension to Shola's contract with a coaching role so he can coach other players to play more like him has got to be classed as gross misconduct and instant dismissal surely

Like others have said there's unlikely to be any truth in the story.

 

You just know its going to happen.
Test the water, and then a leak to the local press softening the blow for when it gets announced.

We could make better use of Gosling.

 

I can see that list of players striking fear into opposing teams.
