I was there when his knee first went v Birmingham when we should have been 4-0 up. Not Gorka's best night if I remember correctly! He goes down and he was bossing the game and we get beat 3-2. Kevin Phillips came on and scored two. FB was a top talent. Hopefully the Swans can mention him in the programme or show him our support as a Fans favourite.

Yea I remember that game so vividly.
It was the day I realised Kevin Phillips is incredible...But, what a horrible feeling knowing Bodde wasn't going to be playing.
I've said this on many occasions, but for me, he has been the best player we have had at the club for the last 10 years at least!
    I loved that guy!

Prayers for Bodde tonight. And the bad news doesn't stop there; apparently Leighton James has had a stroke, reports are that it is a mild one so hopefully will make a full recovery

Hope he gets well but he is no legend of the swans by a long way. he never achieved anything with us to deserve a mention other than he is in a coma and the club wish him well...

Ferrie Bodde: Former Swansea City midfielder in coma
Former Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde is in an induced coma after being diagnosed with pneumonia.

Bodde, 31, is head coach of Dutch amateur club SV Wateringse Veld.

In a statement, the club said Bodde was in hospital, adding: "It was decided to keep Ferrie in an artificial sleep for a number of days to fight the bacterial infection and to prevent damage to the organs.

"We are obviously very shocked by this news and wish him a speedy recovery."

Really got mugged that night, it showed what a difference there was between us and a truly gifted goalscorer.

Applause for him in the ground and singing his name was a nice touch.
(ps were the Den Haag fans in today?)
