I've been thinking about who we could actually get. I'm not sure Moyes would come to us, but he'd be a good replacement for Pardew. I had a wild thought today that maybe Ian Holloway would do a decent job. Limited yes, a bit of a clown yes, but his teams play good football. I'd at least like a team to go down in a game swinging, and I'd imagine we'd never truly be out of a game under Holloway with his attacking tactics. Despite us having a couple of donkeys in the squad, it's still a step or two up from what he ever had at Blackpool and the like, so maybe we'd be his chance to prove himself at a higher level.

    Flame away!

I'm sure DMW could pull some strings for us.

Holloway? Cripes, his management skills are worse than his pitifull attempts at humour.

Then again, he'd only make the club a bigger laughing stock than we already are, so he'd be perfect for the job.

Hollaway is a total clown I don't want him anywhere near our club.

Need to be careful what we wish for on that front. Whilst we all want any new manager (if we're lucky enough to get one) to play attacking, carpet football. Someone like Holloway would be suicidal. He's massively under qualified and it'd only take four or five thumpings and there would be cries of "he's too gung-ho, defence is too exposed and he's tactically inept".

He'd be exactly the same as Pardew, just in a polar opposite kind of way <laugh>

He also has a tendency to spit his dummy out when he doesn't get his own way which would be at least twice a week with Mike as his boss.

Putting it shortly he's a complete amateur when it comes to Premier League management and would be a terrible appointment.

Holloway, can't even get odds for him just yet..
Exactly the surprise type of appointment MAshley could spring on the Club.
I wonder if the pair of them know each other.

If we're talking Holloway then some are already planning for relegation.

I don't mind Holloway. Good craic (seems to have toned down the jokes sadly), and plays good football. Like KK though, he is a very emotional bloke. When things go well they carry teams along on enthusiasm. When things go bad they don't handle it well and invariably walk and/or lose the plot. Seriously bad fit for us because it will take a certain kind of character to work under Ashley. That character is unlikely to be someone the fans want or excited by.

David Moyes: Sacked Man Utd boss thanks Ferguson for chance

David Moyes has thanked Sir Alex Ferguson for giving him the chance to manage Manchester United.

In his first public statement since his dismissal on Tuesday, Moyes said results had not been what he wanted.

"Performances and results have not been what Manchester United expect," said the 50-year-old Scot. " I understand and share their frustration."

"I remain grateful to Sir Alex for believing in my ability and giving me the chance to manage United."

Just heard from somebody with no interest in football that Moyes is on his way here.
