make sure you work out which test centre you want your exam in ; some are much harder than others...though I d imagine in east kilbride so long as you can negotiate a roundabout the license is in the bag <ok>

I was in North Wales recently and saw someone doing his lessons on the country lanes. Where you can drive for 10-15 minutes without even seeing another vehicle. It must be a piece of piss to pass there.

It probably is, but that is why they all crash as soon as they drive on a decent road though.

yup , its pretty stupid that you can sit your test in the outer hebrides or some such place and then head straight out on a six-lane death race motorway

<laugh> I can already unofficially drive, change gears no problem and can parallel park and reverse park. All I need to do is learn how to do it safely.

No done the theory yet but it's probably harder to fail than to pass, although my cousin failed that 8 times and has given up for the time being. Some people should just not be allowed to drive.

The test is done in Baillieston, and the bird was able to pass, so don't think I should have too many problems. When she got her car she drove into Glasgow and had a nervous breakdown because she couldn't handle all the stop-starts <laugh> She drove home on the motorway at night in the snow with no lights on. She thought she was putting on full-beams and was blinding other people, so just left them off <yikes> <doh>

she was probably quite right, a combination of snow blindness and headlights could easily cause an accident <laugh>

best to stay in stealth mode.

    Bonjour M Toby.

Been there done it. Don't know how the French ever pass a driving test. No indicators, no roundabout sense, overtaking on a blind bend on a hill, no positional awareness, driving too fast, driving pissed, driving arguing with the missus.....

    Bien cordialement....

    Bonjour Mr miduppergunner,

The French are terrifying drivers, the amount of times I thought I was going to die when being driven around is unreal, from drunk truck drivers on the wrong side of the road to my friends racing around when it's pissing it down and they're all pilled up. One of my mates used to smoke bongs whilst driving on our way to our football games on sundays.

They do have nice roads though <ok>

I've just started driving, but I'm going to wait until I can drive on the roads safely before I get an instructor, just so that I can pass the test. The main difficulty for me is if you are stopped on a road and need to start moving again, I keep stalling!
