    I don't think Mourinho's their style either.
He would be a quick fix solution to their current plight though, I suppose.

  4. Style is why I suggested Martinez. Obviously partly to annoy Tobes too but TBF to him, he's not biting <laugh>

Surely the problem is that United is run by bankers, great at business but know very little about football or sport management hence letting fergie pick his successor. Also we don't know how much money there really is to spen! 100m has been banded about but they have spent 70m already this season and we know the glazers weren't overly generous with fungus, and now Moyes has blown the bank how much is left?

I think they should put Brian (McDonut) McDermott in charge, we would release him and not charge them for break of contract, now brian will finish the job off............see you in the Championship after a season scumchester <laugh>

for a few seasons and the last time he was in club football he won a double at bayern and reached the CL final while setting the foundations for their current success ( ask their fans and players about that one ).

He also managed holland before..... then came back to club football and carried on doing what he does.... winning and promoting youth.

yes he was fired from Bayern but thats down to him taking no **** at all and being mental.

Plays brilliant football, promotes youth ( hes promoted some of the best footballers ever to play the game at every club hes been at basically) and is a character.

I see they're ready to take on the world now, according to their deluded fans (UIR in particular!) reading statements of 'A sense of fear among the other teams fans!' I mean really! Old whisky nose is still skulking around although that may change now that he's been proven wrong on his 'ideal candidate' and he may saunter off in to a corner somewhere and begin his rocking. The long list of possible replacements is laughable at best.

The whole team needs a major overhaul and whilst the new manager is being given a potential £150million to do this, that amount of money won't go very far with the current rates of transfer fees. It will be harder than anyone is making out and this may put off any potential suitors eyeing up the role now the sacked one has left the building. Ideal scenario is Giggs & Co do a good job with the remaining 4 games and are handed a contract to rebuild the team their way.

I don't despise United, and think this would be a good time to try and introduce the old Liverpool Boot room model over there. Whatever happens, whoever they get in is not going to achieve it all in 1 season...If Fergie really loved the club as much as the fans have convinced themselves, he would have started the total rebuild before handing over the reigns. Build a dynasty that would last a while to make the transition of managers a little easier.

    Yup!

AVB would be my pick. I'm sure he would love to return to England from the hell hole he has been prescribed to live in currently.

  11. AVB turning them down would be quite funny <laugh>

I'm waiting for Dave Whelan's view before planting my flag though <ok>

Simeone and Klopp would be United's first choice in my honest opinion. However I feel neither of them would want to leave their respective clubs so I reckon that they will have to make do with Van Gaal. Not that he is a bad manager at all, I just don't think he is their first choice.

One thing Van Gaal or whoever takes up the poisoned chalice must stipulate is that Ferguson has no input or no say on football matters, Moye's was Fergie's pet and admitted they spoke every day, Fergie stabbed Moyes in the back and the silence so far from a prick with an opinion on everything shows that with friends like him you don't need enemies.

    FFS!

Has Mick McCarthy died or something?

    He'd be a perfect fit.

  19. Is it me, or are bookies seriously taking this piss with betting odds nowadays? Surely Howard Webb, a referee taking over Man Utd, should be longer odds than that?

They should really go for Martinez. I cant see him staying at a club like Everton for long and then that would leave the Everton job open for Moyes again <laugh> That would be funny to laugh at Everton but ManU would be getting a good manager.
