Can they still win the title? Christmas has shown that's when Liverpool and Suarez have to play more than one game a week that they are less effective. But seeing as they are not in Europe, they need to take advantage this season: especially when United and chelsea are in transition. their blank fixture list means they should stay in contention.
"We went into the Chelsea game with a small squad against one of the biggest squads in Europe." Sorry Brendan but we have actually got less players registered than you and regardless there is a Prem rule that only allows you 25.
It will be interesting to see how Pool cope with the added burden of European football. They can't say the 10+ less games they've had to play haven't aided them.
I think at this point very few people give a **** about next season, unless I suppose if your season is already over. If we win the title (if), then some of it will have been to do with us having to play fewer games, but United will be in that position next season, so we will see how they do. United are in transition, but that and their Champions league games don't explain the points difference we have over them this season. I don't really think Chelsea are any more in transition this season than they have been any other season since Jose left. I doubt that we will win the league next year, and we will struggle to fight a war on two fronts with the squad we have currently, but we will see what we sign in the summer. I'm just going to enjoy the last 3 games, go ****ing mental if we win the league, but be chuffed to bits if we don't, because we have CL football.
The demands of the Champions league will take it's toll unless they bring in some top quality players in the Summer.
I had a shower this morning thanks. #verycleannotfilthyatallilikelynxsomethingorothertheonethatsmellsallspicy?noholdonthat'scurrypowder
