Back to normal for this season then, very poor performance and then resorting to long ball time after time once Smith was introduced. Think most of the lads are already 'on the beach' so to speak.

Only because they sat back and didn't bother pressing forward, we weren't any real threat, they just sat back and dealt with everything we had.

Where would you even start to analyse that?

Poor tactics and formation, we played Hunt again, when will McD learn or realise he is not the player he had at Reading?

Austin - first touch abysmal, the defending was poor, crosses were awful.

Barnsley and Blackpool deserve to go down if they lost to us...

I was amazed at the lack of pace we have at the back, and how invisible our midfield is.

    And Hunt, why???

I don't blame the players at all

The buck stops with McDermott. None of us can understand his tactics/formation/team selection, the commentators couldn't make sense of it either. The players are probably equally as bewildered as everyone else.

I'm not so sure why most are keen on the back 4 either tbh I could live with any of them being replaced but obviously finding the right people is difficult.

Chelsea were not playing so Nutts Florist were able to borrow the Jose bus and park it in the second half.

Hardly need to park a bus against us. A very small caravan would do

I think if I tried to describe this match, I'd be repeating myself. Same old ... (sadly).

The one different factor this time was most unexpected - playing Austin as a right winger! Never seen that one coming! Actually, he got in some damn fine crosses, but looked absolutely knackered at the end.

Is Dawson ever going to get a game? What's the story on this one, Kissa? You got the inside track?

I remember BMcD saying that we need pace down the flanks ..... He then goes out and brings in 2 wingers to do that job and ever since they landed we've been shyte. he's not played them for a while because they're so bad, but the damage has been done as the players left out are upset, and the money in wages wasted is garbage especially when Hunt pulls on the shirt ahead of Poleon who was worth a start back in August, but has been missing all season even though he would have done more damage than Hunt. White is back and still better than Stewart and kebe but we can't be arsed with pace anymore as we reverted back to lump it up again. Marius brought in but not played, Wootton out of position and shyte, Lees shyte, We cannot string 3 decent passes together still, we have no creativity except Ross, we have no control but at least Murphy if played in the right position can do a job.

Brian please **** off as its an embarrassment now.

I want this season to be over and if there's no major improvement under Cellino's stewardship then I'm gone for good because I can't stand anymore **** and excuses. As for people like Billy who make excuses for BMcD you must be ****ing stupid because even Warnock would have produced something better with those players.

Great looking kits - for real sportsmen. Not sure any of our slovenly overweight sloth-like players will be able to carry those lines off

I know how you feel Doc. Only thing keeping me interested at all is the hope next season will bring radical changes under Cellino. I may be let down yet. However, one word of warning for the new owner. If he can't improve this shower dramatically by. Given he hh whatever methods, he's running the real risk of record low crowds next season. I can't see fans continuing to lash out their cash for the garbage we are currently seeing. Given his years in the game, I'm sure he sees exactly what's wrong and knows it has to be sorted immediately.

Apparently we played a diamond midfield. That was a shock to me.

The other shock was leaving Lees on the pitch, but as most of our players decided they didn't want to play anymore, we needed the subs for them.

Austin on right wing was weird, as was Pearce as left back for much of the second half. Worse was Austin's lack of desire and speed to track the Forest player for the first goal - ship him out.

Smith is clueless. He tries his best, I'll give him that, and gets himdelf about so I can't criticise him. But a good target man knows where his teammates are and flicks the ball towards them, ratehr thaqn just trying to get any connection to go anywhere.

Hunt was never given any chances today, but when he was involved he was good. And he put in a shift to try to get the ball.

McCormack played like Rooney - he clearly has so little confidence in his midfield players having any creativity or drive, he had to go hunting for the ball in his own half. His contempt for the ref was hilarious.

    Chant of the day:

    If You're watching on the telly you're a @@@@
    If You're watching on the telly you're a @@@@
If You're watching on the telly
If You're watching on the telly
If You're watching on the telly you're a LUCKY @@@@

Every one of these players can go, as can the management. None have the speed or stamina to do anything other than tread water in this league. Some have desire and some have guile, but none are more than mediocre. Including McCormack.

Ship them all out. Start again.

Right. Having witnessed 22 home league games this season and 9 away I am 100% that McDermott is trying to force MC to sack him.

There is no other plausible reason why he started with **** up front and left Smith on the bench. Then there are his pathetic tactics of getting the team to pass side ways and then lump the ball in the air towards Ross, and then when he brought Matt on we start playing it in to feet. He is taking the piss.

Billy if you want to give him more time then you are an idiot.

While I completely agree, we are going to have to be realistic. What would it cost to terminate the contracts remaining, millions. Not a chance of selling any of them. A realistic figure to even begin building a side capable of a proper promotion push would likely be another ten to fifteen million. Hope I'm wrong but it's difficult to see Cellino dipping that deep into his pockets in his first summer. Can't see there being a mad rush for season tickets without something drastic
