    What a fantastic start!

On another note, I just left this on the "banner" discussion over on the Saints forum, but feel it's a shame not to mention it here.

Sorry for the thumbnail, but I have neither the time nor inclination to work out to imbed larger images.

What I did leave out of that message was that Airads retweeted the following.

Whatever happened to not biting the hand that feeds?

That's an excellent photo 'planman' - maybe the pilot was a Pompey fan? <laugh>

Rovers fans must be bricking this, after losing to Rochdale.

Showing ourselves weak in defence again. Carson had to make some quick saves.

    Merson is at the game.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but as Wycombe play Bristol Rovers next week doesn't that mean we can't go down, even if we lost today?
If Wycombe win today they'd still be at least 4 points behind us and if they beat Bristol, that means Bristol couldn't catch us and if Bristol were to win that would mean that Wycombe couldn't catch us either.

Sorry if someone's pointed it out already but there it is.

Someone explained all this for me.

For us to be relegated, even if we got NO points from our last 3 games, ALL of the following must happen.

Northampton must win all of their last 3 games.
Wycombe AND Bristol Rovers must win 2 and draw 1 of their last 3 games.
Exeter AND Hartlepool must win 2 of their last 3 games or win 1 and draw 2.
    Chances of that happening?

So yes we are safe now, even if we lose today.

One hell of a game going on between Exeter and Torquay. Torquay now 2-1 up after going 1 down.

Yes because Bristol can't catch us after losing today already, I missed that!

Darren Deadman getting stick from Pompey commentators for being so influenced by the crowd.

Pity we can't give him a red card <laugh>

Northampton have been on top of things for a while but we're clinging onto the lead, for now.

Rickey Holmes on for Danny East - who gets applause from Pompey fans and boos from Northampton fans.

Bradley should have come off. Sounds like he's exhausted out there.

Maybe we'd have been better off with Derek Deadman (Ringo from Never the twain)
