If my understanding is correct, that they never said he gets sacked at all, i expect that man in suit was chased by reporter outside Old Trafford and refused to answer sacking question.. now it is blown to big story, typical reality.
He's the new Pardew mate ........... never won a thing in his career, credibility shot to pieces and unlikely to ever get a top job. He'll be learning all the necessary catchphrases ... '52,000 screaming Geordies, famous No 9, European history, everyone's 2nd team'.
David Moyes' disastrous tenure as manager of Manchester United looks to be over, with Sky Sports reporting his departure is set to be announced imminently. Yesterday's 2-0 defeat against Everton was seemingly the final straw for United's American owners, the Glazers, who are set to sever the Scot's ties with the club, just 11 months in to the 50-year-old's six-year-deal. The result against Moyes' former side has left the Red Devils staring at a seventh-place finish, which would equal Blackburn Rovers' record as the worst ever reigning Premier League Champions. The man who Sir Alex Ferguson hand-picked to become his successor is believed to have lost the backing of both the Glazers and many of the club's senior executives after yesterday's result left them with just one win against any of the top eight all season. Moyes' backroom staff, which includes former Everton coaches Steve Round, Jimmy Lumsden, Chris Woods and Phil Neville, are likely to follow him out of the club amid reports they've failed to earn the respect of many of the club's senior players. Another coach, Ryan Giggs, would remain - he's still contracted to the club as a player - and is likely to take the reins until a permanent successor can be found, should the Scot be relieved of his duties before the end of the campaign. He may well find himself on the Glazers' shortlist, though the likes of Borussia Dortmund's Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid and the currently-unattached Louis van Gaal are likely front-runners for the position. Moyes' time at the club has developed in to a thing of ridicule throughout the course of the season; His persuit of several unrealistic targets in the summer resulted in United paying over the odds for the unconvincing Marouane Fellaini, while the club suffered demoralising home and away defeats to rivals Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton. The Glazers had remained supportive until recently, handing him the £37.5million needed to acquire Chelsea's Juan Mata during the last transfer window, but the club's 11th defeat of the season yesterday - another unwanted record for the former Preston boss - looks to have convinced them it's time for a change, amid growing unrest from the Old Trafford faithful. They face Norwich, Sunderland, Hull and Southampton in their remaining four games, a window, perhaps, for likely caretaker-boss Giggs to throw his name in to the hat for a more permanent stay in the hotseat.
If it means they win all their remaining games, from new manager bounce syndrome, far enough. Provided we win our home games....
