It's been mentioned on a couple of threads so far and I was talking to a mate about this today. It's a perfectly possible scenario and would be interesting to see Swans fans' views on this. Assuming we're safe from relegation and it's the last day of the season. A win saves Cardiff at the expense of Sunderland. A loss or a draw sends Cardiff down. What would you want to happen? I'm sure our team will be as professional as they always are and play for the win but just for fun I've put up a poll. It's anonymous so if you're shy just vote. Send Cardiff down and at the very least it'll shut the buggers up for another season, possibly sending Tan and his money back where he belongs. But this may have huge implications for them as I understand he's not converted his loans to equity despite his promises though I really don't know if that's true or not. They could go into freefall or worse. But maybe that's a secondary issue anyway because it may or may not happen. Keep them up and we'll still have the local derby televised around the world and our rivalry will continue. They will also owe us big time and some Swans fans will no doubt take great delight in reminding them whenever they can. Just like they still seem to want to remind us of the times we went into admin time and again. Don't be shy. Vote now!
You forgot to embed the vote into the thread But yeah, send them down! To hell with my words last night!
I have put this on another thread, but for me as long as we are safe i think i would prefer to be saying goodbye to that lot down the road. I maybe the odd one out here but i hate erby days. I am on edge for the week before can never enjoy the game and if we lose cant step outside for a week or so. On the plus there is nothing better than out playing them and getting 3 points. I hate the idea that a club has been promoted owing Millions and millions of pounds when others try to stay within their budgets. Teams who have so much debt should not be promoted at the expense of well run clubs. So for me i will be happy to say goodbye to them.
Dunno what I've done wrong but the poll looks ok to me. If someone can point me in the right direction...
After all the "we're coming for you " and the other billy big bollock comments pre season & considering you added the "we're safe" proviso within the voting criteria it has to be Cheerio .
I'm just looking forward to the tax man shouting from an open top bus singing "You cash strapped bastards! We are coming for you!"
Couldnt give a flying f@ck about cardiff dont think it will make much difference on our game as I think they will be down by then anyway
I'd rather have Cardiff in the Prem. So, I hope they win their remaining games. 6 points next season as well
My viewpoint hasn't changed. I wish for them what they would wish for us were the boot on the other foot. Let them return whence they came. I care not one jot for the "Ah,but it's great for Welsh football" sentiments that some extoll. I think it will be "great" for Swansea, the City and it's environs, were Swansea City to be the sole representative in the P.L.
Lib I am with you on this. I always wondered why it was great for Welsh football. If anyone can tell me then i would love to know. How many welsh players are in the both squads. Short of ASH, Taylor and Davies who will be playing PL football next year anyway. I just dont get it.
Interesting... looks as if the ones that are voting to relegate Cardiff are by and large happy to say so whilst the ones that want us to win are voting but not commenting. Unless it's Cardiff fans .
