After a fantastic start to the season, sadly things went from good to bad. The same could be said about a lot of our players too. for example O'neil had a cracking first game but sadly he did not keep it up.

Also other things have been disappointing some of Harry's team choices have been woeful. that lack of chances of younger players get a chance to play has be heart braking. you only have to look at YSY to see what they can do if given the chance.

The lack of chance in front of goal we have seemed to create has been the story of our season.

injuries i can't believe how unlucky with have been this year. i hope and pray ali makes it back next year.

I think the biggest disappointment for me was the lack of players that we bought in January. We only need a few players one a which was a striker and a centre back in my view. All we got players were players in on loan that weren't very good. lucky we got to bring in Morrison.

Don't get me wrong i am very happy with this season i think we have started to lay the foundations of what could be a great team. we have made the play offs which any one can win. with players getting back from injury we could happily go on and win.

so the main point of the thread which player was the biggest disappointment to you

in my view it would have to be Krancjar . Sadly he never seemed to lose that extra bit of weight or prove what he could do week in week out.
    what is everyone else's opinion

Will Keane. Supposed to be a talented young player from Man Utd. My arse.

For me, the biggest disappointment this season has been the failure by Harry to impose a style of play in keeping with what we saw from him at Spurs and Portsmouth. He did an excellent job in getting a team that could 'win ugly' in the early part of the season and that should have been the foundation to kick on after the window with a few signings that would have had the team playing with a bit more cutting-edge.

Sadly, things seem to have gone backwards and we get the same old dross, week-in week-out. It's painful to watch us labouring against sides we should be wiping the floor with and that's the difference between us and Leicester & Burnley, they don't fanny about when putting the also-rans out of their misery. If we fail in the play-offs there will be a momentous decision for TF to make, does he stick or twist? It may be the most important decision he'll ever make at our club and he can't afford to make the wrong one...

The football we have played, even when we were getting good results, has been conservative and pedestrian. That's my biggest disappointment, and the reason I have not got off my arse to go to many games this year.

Think I'll get an ST again next season though, whatever division we are in - new manager if we stay down and hopefully some youngsters to encourage, the drama of a battle against relegation if we go up......

The games we just did not manage to kill off and then drew or lost. Too many to list but Leicester at home from top end and Charlton away at the other end.

Losing Matty Phillips and Charlie Austin at the same time. Lost all momentum from there on in.

For 50% of the games, the impression that the team are trying replicate last year's lacklustre attitude.

My biggest disappointment is all the negativity on this board. That's far harder to understand than any perceived failings on the pitch.

Sure we lost some games we could have won. Sure we could have performed better and been more positive at times. But also, we have won some games that we could easily have lost. And some of the players have been superb. Green has been brilliant this year. Hill has again performed miracles. Austin was on fire up to his unfortunate injury. Morrison has had some storming performances and scored some crucial gals in a short spell with us. Revelation of the season on the pitch has been Barton - he's almost always kept his cool under some serious provocation and only some extremely dubious refereeing decisions mean he's anywhere near another suspension.

So again - for me, the real disappointment is that so many 'fans' on this board are so negative. This thread is a perfect example.

Taarabt sticking two fingers up at the Club and then Redknapp inexplicably starting the season with one semi-fit striker.

Redknapp, I wish he got the England job as he'd have never worked again if he had England playing like us.
Redknapp is paid more than the manager of Spain yet cannot even perform to a pub manager standard.

Agreed ................... yes, we have many disappointing players but no one more disappointing than Harry. For a guy who has in the past been a good motivator and an action man to make things happen, he seems to have gone extremely stale. I can only assume he's lost interest and that is reflected by the players.
