They'll be opening early for this one. We'll most likely stay up on Saturday night so we'll pop in and ask then let you know
Tell me baz why do some call you a mag when you go to so many safc games ? have i missed something or is it because of your past which i am unaware of.
It's because he finds it hilarious when we lose and targets optimistic Sunderland supporters ........ not hard to understand really.
Fair play. The irony in your post is of course not lost on myself after your absence from posting in the main in recent times. Easy to come on when a result has backed up your point of view, takes proper balls to come on regardless of the result. Ever think that posts like this are just as hard to bear for others, as you claim the "piss taking ****ers" are for you?
I appreciated the irony when I posted it, I'm not daft mate .......... I doubt if anyone thinks any different, it was meant to be obvious. I've always come on here, through thick & thin, but just can't be arsed with tedious and relentlessly negative people. They race onto the forum to glory in their predictions of doom and take the piss out of optimists ... ... very poor from so called Sunderland supporters. The true irony you miss is that they're the same ones who 'don't have the balls' to come on here after a result like City or Chelsea. I come on here when I feel like it and had 6 months last season when I barely posted due to work etc, this period has been the same. It doesn't take 'balls' for anyone to post on a little chat forum populated by fakes, wums, Mags and a handful of decent lads. I have mates to chat about Sunderland and don't need this forum like I used to when I lived away.
To single out Baz though is wrong I think. He's been on here win, lose or draw taking relentless abuse from almost everyone. He may say some ridiculous things and be weirdly happy about being proved right at the expense of his club, but at least he sticks to his guns. He hasn't run away saying he can't be bothered with the stay-aways coming on to gloat now that there's been a couple of good results, has he? In the spirit of your thoughts on people being happy about losing, it is strange than on the back of the best result of the season you felt you needed to make a thread like this rather than talking about the football, almost as if it's some kind of competition rather than just wanting Sunderland to win for the good of the club?
Except I didn't did I? " ........ the piss taking ****ers would've been on here in seconds if we'd lost. **** the lot of them!!!!" He singled himself out by coming onto the thread, "It's great on here tonight ....." and identifying himself as one of the people I was talking about. If not then why respond to me saying, " It's great on here tonight ..... ......without the usual whinging spineless sarcastic bastards who'd have been on here in seconds if we'd lost." He was the 2nd to post on that thread because he sees himself as just the kind of poster I meant didn't he? I mentioned him because he's an idiot who deliberately targets Sunderland supporters showing optimism about Sunderland on a Sunderland forum. If you believe that's fair play then how can you have a problem with someone responding? I came on here to talk about football so you're wrong about that, I also posted this thread that I totally stand by. Why don't I have the right to say what I've said when the piss takers have that right? Don't bother trying to make a case that I'm interested in any competition, I'm not. I don't even think the idiot believes what he posts or has any real interest in Sunderland.
If relentlessly targeting fellow Sunderland supporters with a tirade of personal abuse is 'fair play' I'd have to disagree. I believe you should behave on here as you'd behave in real life and it's obvious he'd never say those things to your face. That's cowardly in my book.
Fair enough, I agree with your sentiments on Baz I just think there's a smack of hypocrisy and one upmanship about this whole thing, no bother though I'm sure I'm wrong
I have often been an optimist regarding Sunderland but I'm also a realist when the stats are put in front of you. One thing I will say is that being a Sunderland fan will always produce a roller coaster of emotions and although bad for those of a nervous disposition some love it! I for one would rather be complaining about the dullness of mid table mediocrity wishing for the next step. Even if we go down I now feel the last two results have restored a little pride and hope and pray they have the metal to go for it in what would be one of the most remarkable escapes ever seen in this league.
Daft as it sounds, staying up after all the drama would be like living the Cup Final ......... victory against Swansea, to send Cardiff down, could be quite a day!
One thing for sure is that there will be more twists and turns (we know nothing else) but staying in with a chance on the last day hopefully leaving it in our own hands would do me and would be one of this clubs best achievements which could change the mentality of a lot of the players and fans.
We just all have to keep a grip on reality mate ..... I don't believe that only pessimists can be realists. I've always known we were in the ****, just to varying degrees. We were up to our chests but now we only need wellies! If we draw against Cardiff some would see that as the end of our chances but, in reality, we'd be a point behind them with a game in hand and better GD. If West Brom lose to Man City we'd then be 3 points behind them with a game against them coming up. A win and, who knows, a point at Man Utd would set up a possible escape on the last day. We weren't doomed when we lost to Everton and we're not safe after beating Chelsea ......... that's reality, not claiming we're down with games to play.
This is very sad to read. I read many writings on internet like this for Sunderland over many years and still we enjoy to fight each other. We have to ask always that some fan is so used to losing that they expect losing, it is harder for them to see the win - and others want for winning so much they cannot vision anything else only winning it! Sometimes better to understand that all is different, sometimes people find easy path to deal with Sunderland by not adding pressure, others who only see victory liketo add pressure to make steaks is high.. only one things are certain. Nobody not even very very negative fan, wants to lose match. Negative fan just has strange way to deal with path.
Thank you Confucius. No problem with any poster being pessimistic mate, not at all surprising when you look at the season we've had. It's only the miserable bastards who target optimists and think it's fine to ridicule them that I'm referring to. If people want to dish it out they should expect it back. Hope that clarifies the situation
I understand my friend. I guess this fans "misrable bastards" are hurting after defeats, like optimitic fans aswell, and to deal with it they lash out at opposite style fans. Easy way is to give it back with angry, too easy, better to understand and come together, too much negative - better and try to be biggest man. Just my thoughts, sorry if disagree.
