Sturridge is a pisstake considering his age with younger players queuing up deservedly so. Regarding Januzaj he's easily shown himself to be one the best young players in the league. I doubt anyone without bias wouldn't want him at their club.

As much as it pains me to say it, looking at the list you'd have to say Sturridge deserves it. Hazard has had a good season too, but I'm not convinced he's the world beater Chelsea fans like to make him out to be, he had a great spell in the middle of the season, but I don't think his form has held up since.

Januzaj doesn't deserve to be on it, as his form has dipped badly in the 2nd half of the season, and that's why he was dropped from the team. He was brilliant in the first half of the season, but ever since he missed that penalty in the shootout defeat to Sunderland, he's looked very poor. I think he just needs to be taken out of the spotlight abit for now, as I reckon the pressure has got to much for his young shoulders. He will be a top player for us in the future though, of that I'm certain, as he has so much natural talent

Aye, Januzaj has been a bit like Sterling was last season - all skills and thrills at the start but then dropped off in form as the season dragged on. I'm just glad he didn't father any kids (that we know of <whistle>)

If he can build on this season then he'll be in with a good shout next year, but was never going to be considered given he's only started 13 games.

I expect Januzaj to be on that list next season.

I would want him, but I wont swap him for Sterling.

    Sterling is better than him.

If there was an award for young diver of the year award, Januzaj would win it. <cheers>

swarbs, as EC says, Hazard won young player 5 ****ing years ago, the cutoff should be 21st birthday and none of them should be in for the award.

meth, januzay is second to Sterling this season, by a stretch

Agree with you there, and that's how it used to be - in 2009 Ronaldo and Rooney didn't even get nominated, despite both being eligible and being the best young players in the league by a country mile.

Problem is the level of quality in the PL has fallen off quite badly in recent years - if they had a cutoff at 21 years the list would be Sterling, Shaw, Barkley, Lukaku and who else? Januzaj probably, but he's only started 13 games. Can't honestly think of a sixth nominee who's under 21 and has really done well this season. I may be missing an obvious one, but then it's basically a choice by default. A far cry from a few years back when a 21 year old Fabregas didn't even get a nomination.

'Project Hazard' is not a project anymore.

Moyes speaks of his 'project' now.

It seems to be fashionable management speak.

wouldn't even rate januzaj in top 10 young players in the premier league. he's had a few decent games but other than that he's either a ghost on the field or doesn't play at all. sterling, barkley & shaw are all far superior
