But we've only had 2 in between Rafa and Rodgers. Kenny was never going to go anywhere and Voy well! You could claim that we wanted rid of him but then Englandappointed him so they must have wanted him.

His 'plan' was tikitaka, he's now binned it off because Gerrard wasn't having it and is playing long ball, hit and chase. Lucky ****er he is, and he'll be found out in due course.....

I think it's refreshing (even before this season) to hear a manager talk about how big this club is despite the few years of trouble it's gone through. Yes it may have sounded silly and so on, but I think it gave everyone a bit of a lift to hear someone come in and say things like that after having Hodgson who saw a draw at home to some mid table clubs as a decent result for lil ole Liverpool.

It really seems like he love being at the club and loves the freedom he is being given to go ahead and just do his job without owners getting involved in who should be brought, what style should be played etc.

If it were to happen this year (#nojinx) then he' set bloody high standards for himself and there's no doubt we will be at least 2 or 3 seasons ahead of schedule. Next year would be a year where we need to consolidate a top 4 position (while hopefully challenging again) and put in a decent performance in the CL. Regular CL football will then allow us to spend that little bit more while meeting FFP.

Yeah true that, Kenny came in and sorted all the crap out and got us back on course. Couple of signings we could've done without but no ones perfect! After us Roy went to WBA for a year and did a good job there, for us though he was very painful!

Given your track record on what you thought of Martinez when we were interested forgive me for not entirely trusting your bitterness :p

I don't know why you all bother with Tobes still, I've had him ignored for months now and it works wonders. Far less bitterness and pathetic attempts to argue for arguments sake on the board <ok>.

I like Rodgers, hopefully he signs on a longer deal with us when the season closes. Next season might not be as successful as this one, being in the CL and the PL and the immediate stresses on the squad that will bring, but he's shown what he can do with a talented group of a players and a few more years and signings to bolster the squad could bring a great era for us with him.

Doesnt have to be does it?

Not since Rafa kept being linked with Madrid have I worried about our manager getting a better offer through their eyes, nice to have it again in a way. If he's committed then its all good!

In fairness his plan was Tiktaka and all the bullshit about winning the ball back in 7 seconds, he has found out it dosen`t work in England where teams just won`t afford you the time and so has had to adjust to a fast counter attacking style, the style that has been so good to United over the last couple of decades. It`s a good thing that he ripped up his 50 page philosophy and learnt from experience, not a bad one.

  18. Or, we do both but they have been tweaked so the focus isn't entire on those two aspects.

Everybody is commited to the job they have untill a better offer is on the table, Brendan was commited to Swansea i believe.

  20. Exactly. No point in worrying about something that is out of our control. Personally, I think Brod would be a bit silly to move on right now, he's onto a very good thing and we have some superb youngsters as well as one of the best players around.
