We're gonna finish 11th. Pardew will then leave after the Liverpool game. It's who we would bring it that has me worrying.

I agree with an earlier post - if MA did want to get rid of Pards without paying him compensation, then the head-butt incident was his moment. He could have used breach of contract as a basis for not paying him off. I therefore think Pards will be here for a while.

I'd be really disappointed if Pulis was seen as the answer to our problems. I'm not knocking what he achieved at Stoke or Palace but his type of football is not what I'd want to see at Newcastle. We get enough hoofball now without wanting to see more of it.

I also can't understand the love-in with Laudrup. At every single club he has been at he has been great for the first season and then dreadful. We've already got someone a bit closer to home who has that failing without wanting another one.

Likely, I admit. But it was 4-1 that day so maybe he thought we would be ok. I'm grasping at straws really. The only solution is to get Ashley out but how does one do that?!

We need a wealthy Newcastle fan who will just say to MA what do you want, here you go. Sadly, not many of those around.

It would take a very very wealthy fan who could offer MA an amount he couldn't say no to, and then be willing to write off everything they had paid for the club as money they would never see again (as they would have paid far far more than the club was worth and then couldn't be seen to take any money back or we'd be in the same boat as now). To write off that much you're talking about that person probably being a multi-billionaire with a very altruistic approach to the city of Newcastle. I think that group of people totals about zero sadly :(

He knows how to organise a side though. I'd not be over the moon, but there needs to be a change,.

    whats wrong with coming 11th? its better than coming 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th isnt it <doh>

honestly at the start of the season i thought youd be relegated before the 30 game mark. if anything, 11th place should be above your expectations

It's surprising how much toon fans are willing to try to make sense of the questionable decisions (or lack of) by Mike Ashley.

Jody Foster's Silence of the Lamb character would have her hands full with this one.

Exactly. Pulis has managed to get himself an unfair rep through making sure his sides are effective from set plays which is damn well something we are not. Basically his teams keep it on the deck in open play.

I am not saying he is a first choice replacement but all this long ball merchant stuff is just not the case.

At this moment I just want to see the back of Pardew - I can't take listening to his bullshit and now can't even look at the **** as he repulses me so much.

I didn't want Pulis until I read some Palace forum a few minutes ago and they apparently think we are delusional? Some of the bullshit I've read on there has really given me a laugh. I'd almost want the **** here just to piss them off.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen much of Palace. I did used to live in Stoke though until a few years ago, and even back then there were many Stoke fans who were very disillusioned at their style of play, and did not enjoy watching them play. If it hadn't been for the cup run then he may well have been forced out sooner. It wasn't just that they were well organised at set plays, but they employed very negative tactics, more focused on stopping the other team play rather than playing good football themselves.

It wouldn't surprise me if it were true.

Mike Ashley would see Pulis as the perfect manager... gets results on a shoestring budget.
Forget the style, it's all substance with the fat ****.

    Yeah, that's right, I said FAT :)
