Don't know if anyone here remembers CernyBerny from BBC 606, but here's what he posted on Vital...from what i remember he used to be pretty much spot on with his information.

    http://www.qpr.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=10194&posts=16

    "Hi everyone

This is my first post on this forum, I used to post on the BBC forum and if you remember me I do not tell porkies, I have been told today that the club will be in new ownership by Thursday, potential new owners are the Mittals and a new Arab who apparently is richer than the guys at City.

I'm not normally wrong and hopefully this is the case again.

    Come on U R's."

Supposedly all of the board are in a meeting today at HQ. Again, this is just a rumour, I have taken this with a pinch of salt, but thought I would post.

;)I'll take that with a bucket of salt, but here's hoping it's true! CernyBerny was a bit of a legend over at 606, and sometimes was spot on.. It'd be good to get him over here somehow. It'd be like the good old days, only without ABITB, so better!

I see 50 and franckster are over there.

CernyBerny got both barrels off someone over his predictions, probably The Boy, when they never came true

If there's any truth in this, I would expect the press hounds to pick this up...sounds too good to be true, but since I'm desperate, I'm willing to believe anything...

Regardless, as to whether this is true or not.
I don't think I would like becoming the latest Man Shi++y or Ch*%s!3i.
I would rather QPR grow as a normal club and show that success can be attained sensibly, rather than buy our way to trophies.....I think?
Then on second thoughts that might be like being a kind of Liverpool. Have the potential, but win nothing ( or Arsenal .)
I would love to see my little QPR win something in my lifetime,....Mixed emotions here.

I've just had this vision - two years time we're top of the Prem, challenging Barcelona in Europe, 80,000 plus capacity ground - and we, the contributors to this forum, will be going to matches when we can afford a ticket, wearing our "Vauxhall Motors - I was there" T-shirts with pride...

I for one want to be the latest Man City! As things stand we are paying outrageous prices but with none of the investment. Worst of both worlds. As I have said before we all wanted to be in the Premiership and now that we have achieved that we need to join the sugar daddy club or we will be straight back down. I'm happy to watch QPR come what may but lets at least understand what the options are. If you truly want success in the top division then its massive investment or nothing. We will not all become like Chelski supporters just because someone invests in our club - people who went to the Bridge were always aholes anyway.

I'm still in the camp that nothing is happening because something big is happening behind the scenes. Bernie doesn't want to know and i think Bhatia certainly does . His whole resignation thing stank. Reckon they will be in control before the 1st July when preseason starts. then the cheque book will open. Still think the Arab thing is a total load of tosh though.

I don't see why it's not possible to have both, i.e. very rich owners who run the club in a responsible and sustainable way. As for this latest rumour though, I remain unconvinced, but am more than happy to be proved wrong. What's to say that this new poster is actually the same guy who was on the old 606 site anyway? It's perfectly easy to set yourself up on a discussion forum and call yourself CernyBerny, or anything else you like... I hate to admit this, and I know that some of you will be disappointed, but I'm not really Kaspers Gorkss... There is it, I've said it! :police:
