    As a lurker myself, I find a lot of the time I'll read something, write a reply and then delete it and move on, but before on 606 a fair few years back and on a couple of other forums I now post on I'd sit and read through the replies but not actually sign up or post.
    Don't really know 100% why, I just wouldn't, dunno if it was confidence or if I was just happy reading I can't remember. I think generally it was because I'd browsed the forum that long that I felt I knew the posters, even though they didn't me and I was worried I'd come across as a bit weird or something!

    <laugh> Aye it probably is Syd, but now I just don't care, I embrace the eccentricity!
    Generally I'll delete a post cos I realise it's not worth it or I'm talking ****e mind.
    But tbh about the signup thing, I've seen a few of the new 'uns on here post similar though, saying they've followed the board for a while and only plucked up the courage to sign up etc, so I'm not alone with my eccentric ways!

    I remember that and when I was in a job where I could post all day I contributed to that quite regulalry. Wasn't that around the time when we had an opening day game against Arsenal and it was prophesised that a giant squid would kill everyone on the pitch! No I'm not making it up! What ever happened to Hallelujah John Tudor!

    "One arm aloft" thread.

    It was brilliant, I regularly posted on that thread (had a penchant for goose fat in those days). Everyday I would go into work and have to stifle my laughter at some of the posts that people had written. Some of them were just genius.

    Some of the posters were Prince Albert, Davya, Lady Devon Geordie and Roland Dechaine. I think that Hallelujah John Tudor was a Barrister or some kind of Lawyer. Some real good characters who would fit in very well with the people on this site.

    Theres loads of Newcastle fans 1 ManUtd fan, 1 Mackem called Gia and a Bolton fan. I left cause it was getting spammed alot
