**** me. If that's the best we can hope for I'd rather we didn't bother. So much for hoping for cultured football.

Met him at a funeral and he is a humble man,
He likes to wear the clubshop though.
If he was given the job I'll cancel my ST.
    Simples.

the next newcastle manager will have thought very carefully about accepting this somewhat cursed job.

Personally I think he gets a bit of a bad rep for not much reason. He does set his team up to stop the opposition playing but I think in general open play his teams usually try and keep it on the deck and break fast.

I don't think he wold fall in line enough for Cashley tho.

Obviously I don't see you every week, but from afar it seems that the loss of Cabaye has had a huge impact - replacing him the priority in the summer?

Seriously hoping this is bull. While Pardew appears inept, Pulis will only play one wat and it won't be pretty. Also, he likes big strikers, so Shola will be hoping it's true! <yikes> BRS will be going mental.

I'd have to stop going. Not interested in watching another long ball merchant after Allardyce. At least Pards has tried to play football this season. I'd rather stick than have Pulis.

Be happy with McNamara, Howe or Rosler. All play nice football. McNamara has the added experience of bringing through young players and working on a shoe string. And the Ryan Gauld connection.

Don't want quitter Laudrup though. Far too huffy, wouldn't last 5mins before toys were out the pram and we'd be in turmoil again. Average record. Leonardo is never going to happen so not worth even discussing.

Your mentioning Gauld is interesting, an average manager would have Dundee floating around mid table and have no interest in Ryan Gauld, McNamara on the other hand has been fantastic.

To your point on Laudrup, his temperment is the question, would have to be something you'd have to figure out after meeting with him, undoubtedly talented though.

ACS would struggle to decide what with Anne Robinson being a redhead.

I was thinking, maybe Ashley is giving Parpoo the silent treatment. I find it difficult to believe that even the grubbiest owner would want a corpse in charge, particularly when you consider Ashley fired Kinnear for arguably less than Parpoo is serving up.

I reckon Parpoo is done but what's the point sacking him now at a possible cost (ie. He has still at the moment hit his target, so constructive dismissal?). I reckon Ashley would quite like 11th. Bit of cash saved, sack the manager with just cause. Why bother doing something that could galvanise the team?
